A monthly article rounding up a collective of Contests,features and Submissions to the Resources Gallery this last month.

You might have noticed that Resources and Stock images are now joined at the hip and merged into one parent category.This will not only help with some confusion within the submission process for Stock imagery but as acknowledgment that stock imagery is an equal valued part of Resources.Nothing will really change, the team members ^Hanratty-Stock ^LawrenceDeDark and myself will still do all our usual bits within the gallery.We look upon ourselves as one big happy family and are deserving of being glUed together till hell freezes over!

If you cast your minds back to The Resources & Stock image Galley educate week in June,many of you may remember *perkelate who mingled amongst the Resources and Stock image community with his inquisitive questions whilst we tried to convert him into our odd resourceful ways .
*perkelate is a graduate student at University of California, Berkeley’s School of Information and has been compiling research for a project on how people use the Internet for their art and creativity and ultimately as part of this has finally completed his paper on "tutorials on deviantART".The paper was written for a conference at the London School of Economics, which celebrated it's 5th Anniversary of their Media and Communication department where *perkelate presented it.

The Unrestricted Use Stock & Resources Directory

Unrestricted stock can be used for both personal and commercial projects, but it cannot be redistributed as stock. You are not required to obtain permission prior to using the stock off site or in dA prints. The only requirements are that the stock provider be notified and credited.
If you feel that you would like to join this overgrowing directory head over to the ^LawrenceDeDark'sUnrestircted Stock Directory and leave your mark.

^LawrenceDeDark also takes community choice suggestions for Stock and Resources.If there is anything you have seen that catches your eye and would like to be included in his features send him a note titled "CC" and include 3 or 4 works that you would to have included.
