Hey hey hey! it's me again! We've got a great week this week, so read on!

Welcome once more, to the THIRD installment of my ultra fun series, TutCommentary! Here, I hope to be of some assistance in finding those ever-so exclusive tutorials you've been dying to read but just don't know where to find! And as a bonus, I have used all these tutorials several times myself, and will give you my experiences on using them, and hopefully you would get that little extra help on knowing what to expect, and through my experience, what to avoid. c:
Now let me clearly state, the pro/con/rating review is SOLELY of my opinion and experience, and mine ALONE. Therefore I do hope you understand not every personal experience will be similar to mine. It is only posted here for honesty and clarity on my behalf.
Each edition will have my reviews on
three tutorials at a time, since I've got a pretty tight schedule. So speaking of that, without further ado, enjoy!

TUTORIAL ONE: Pose tutorial by

Ha! Another one of the best tutorial series on dA. Seriously, read every last word!
The Pros
The layout is MASTERFUL. I really appreciate the bombardment of information and questions that encourages an objective way of thinking on your artwork! Plus, the awesome examples of poses are inspiring and encourage you to create poses of your own.

To me one of the most humorous of all her tutorials, the jokes are just delightful. Four words:
Fat man drops cake.
This tutorial goes way beyond just teaching how to construct poses but how to read body language; in turn making you not just someone who can draw a pose, but someone who can come up with new ones. Need I say more?!
The Cons-- There are no cons in any of these tutorials
The SummaryBeginner to advanced, true gold for aspiring artists! Its dry and quite witty humor is just a thing to behold, you'd never believe before seeing these that comedy could be so educational! The Rating

TUTORIAL TWO: Skin Tutorial by

As you can tell I'm a big fan of her tutorials. I simply really can't get enough.
The Pros
perfect, perfect explanations! It is indeed hard to believe she hasn't had formal training at that point of making the tutorial. The heaps and heaps of information are bound to surprise you; and the theory isn't boring at all. It's interesting and majorly informative.

Skin balls clearly and perfectly express the properties of skin. It's better to me this way because I am more able to manipulate these effects to any part of the body.

My favorite thing about this tutorial is that it doesn't just teach how to shade a perfect set of skin, she focuses on natural and dare I say
compulsory things to learn such as scars, stitches, colored lighting, white light, backlighting, reflection of light, pores and even veins!
The Cons--There are no cons. Seriously, she covered it all!The SummaryThe A - Z of skin and everything you needed to know! Keep it safe, trust me you'll need it as much later as you do now!

TUTORIAL THREE: Photoshop Lineart Tutorial by

A treasure, a pure treasure! Perfect for people new to tablets, familiar with tablets, and those looking to get one!
The Pros
Dynamic! I LOVE the way he explains the fundamentals of creating a mock sketch and a stable base before beginning a lineart. Not always will you have perfect lineart from the start, it takes working on and improving as you go.

The layout is SO professional. I found myself enjoying the tutorial all the more because of the steady and easy flow.

This entire tut is just inspiring. From being able to move around your lines, to choosing colors appropriate for it, to making details quickly and easily, it's not just a tutorial but a handbook for lineartists everywhere!
The ConsNo cons! What more can you want in a lineart tutorial for Photoshop? The SummaryAll the tutorials out there have lots of great hints and tricks but this one is one of those you just can't get enough of going back to!The Rating

5/5
Ok, until next week!

I do hope you have come across enlightenment in at least one of these beauties! Now go draw something awesome!

Love you all, Cheers!

Once more, read and favorited all of them~ What with Christmas coming up and obligatory drawing time on DeviantArt, I guess NOW is the best time to implement these last three weeks worth of tutorials! Well... after next week, when college finals are over...
