The theme of this competition is Loss. That can mean losing anything. Literal, abstract, whatever you like as long as it makes sense. This is my first contest, so bear with me. I'm pretty much making this up as I go along.
Rules:

Your deviation has to be new. That means submitted on or after December 4th. One entry per person.

The deadline is January 17th, 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Nothing sent after that will be eligible.

This competition is strictly for poetry. Prose will not be accepted.

Check my journal for updates or changes. I reserve the right to make changes up until January 10th.
How to Enter:

Write a new poem and submit it to Deviantart

Link to the competition in your Artist Comments

Note me with the link to your entry

I will comment on your work to let you know it's been entered. Be patient, it may take a while, depending on how many entries I get.

Tell everyone you know.
Judges:
(volunteers welcome)
Your piece will be judged on the concept, the writing, and adherence to the theme.
Prizes: If anyone is willing to donate prizes, please do. Especially subscriptions. People tend to like those. All winners will be featured in my journal after the competition.
