Long exposure is something I love in photography. It gives you such a wide range of creative possibilities, from shooting in the near dark without a flash, to light painting, to motion blur, ghostly shots, all sorts!
With that in mind I posted a thumbshare thread asking for long exposure shots. I got some great shots back covering a huge range of different creative ideas, but a fairly poor response in terms of numbers. Perhaps shutter speed settings are buried too deeply in the menus of some cameras? Either way, here are a selection of some of the wonderful and creative shots that were submitted...
So, check out the following great photographs from some wonderful photographers and
show them some love!

And of course, since I'm here, a little on-topic self-promotion

Thanks so much for including my stuff, too!

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while.

Yeah, I thought that, but then my first long exposure shots were done on my compact Kodak ZD710. Having said that, I did have to read the manual and go through a few menus to set them up
