Okay. To combat my serious case of boredom, and also to give the Lit Community something else to do, I've decided to run
TWO contests,
SIMULTANEOUSLY! One for Flash Fiction, the other for Short Poetry.
NOTE: Judges will not be allowed to enter their respective contests. They can, however, enter the one that they are NOT judging.
Cut-off for this contest is 1:00 AM (US Central Time)
Saturday, February 14, 2009. That's over a month and a half, so I'm expecting a HIGH quality of work. You guys have plenty of time, so use it wisely.
About these Contests:Both contests have 3 different topics to choose from plus one extra competition-specific topic for a total of 4 topics available per contest.
Every deviant may enter
ONE work, to
ONE contest only. I don't want people bitching at me because the same person won/placed in both contests, so this is a good precaution, in my opinion. I don't want any complaints, and I really don't want to have to exercise my right to disqualify anyone for being childish about the fact that they can't enter both.
Topics:1- Regrets
2- Moments of Pride
3- Want vs. Need
Flash Fiction Competition: Specific Topic -
Lie to Me Tell me a lie about life: the way things SHOULD be, as opposed to the way things ARE.

Mutual Rules:1. All works MUST have been submitted on or after December 13, 2008.
2. Please list the topic that you chose for your work in the Artist Comments.
3. All entrants must link to either the Contest journal, or the News Article in their Artist Comments.
4. Use spell-check.
The judges and I reserve the right to disqualify any works with spelling errors. The cut-off for this contest being so far in the future, I feel that it is fair. You all have plenty of time to check your work before you submit it.
5. Send ME a note with a link to your entry. I will comment on the deviation telling you that it has been entered. (I have a life, so be patient.)
(Rules are subject to be changed up to January 1, 2009.)
