*Catgel:iconCatgel: reports, December 18
I have come across a copyright service which i found from my new lovely friend kittys profile :iconfeline-icity:. Its awesome last night i copyrighted all my work .You recieve a pdf document which is a officially signed copyright cert by email .Plus a mechanical copyright number & a digital fingerprint number which is excellent for a free service.

I have found two SAFE CREATIVE [link] a lot of DA artists use) & MYFREE COPYRIGHT.COM [link]

These are amazing you can copyright art, poems, storys anything please have a look people as i had a scare in the week this lunatic threatened to put my work up on a fake DA site of which he had attacked & stole other DA artists works .:pissedoff:Plus the copyright service is very easy to use you just upload the file write a small desciption & its done.
They also email you a little logo its actually html which dont work on DA but you can put the little logo by your work .

Please copyright your work as since i been a memeber of the artist against thieves club A-T-T which my bloved :iconspedding: runs its really opened my eyes if you can please join this club as like every few hours theres stories of art being stolen off DA & being in this club has really opened my eyes to what goes on on here.:onfire: god bless TIN EYE the reverse search engine . If your worried about any of your work use tin eye & it will tell you if its being stolen or displayed elsewhere thankies !
I know most of you may have already copyrighted your work but this is for people that havent as i feel a lot better this morning thanks !:boogie:

Kick Start-Issue #2

=XxTrinityxX:iconXxTrinityxX: reports, December 13, 2008
Kick Start

Kick start is about giving that artistic blockage a shove out of the way and letting the creative thoughts flow freely once more.
Find ideas, topics and website links to help improve the creative process.

Write Aide

Writing can be frustrating at times, especially when you have a partial idea and can’t get it off the ground. Here are some ideas to kick that block and start creating.

Story Topic of the Week:

A history student gets to see life in a new way, when he meets a very unusual watch collector at the Natural History museum.

Blogging Topic of the Week

List 5 things you liked about your high school, list 5 things about your high school you didn’t like. How would you go about changing these things?

Find more ideas for blogs at [link]

Find more ideas for stories at [link]

Just remember you don’t have to crank out a long story or blog every day or every week. Sometimes short blurbs and little thoughts are a way to open the mind to new things.

Writing help links

Creative Writing Help- [link]

I’ve always been a fan of about.com, stumbling on to this little bit was nice. And as usual about.com always has other links to follow. So go crazy!

Creative Writing Prompts- [link]

Can’t get enough of these, the prompts are short and sweet. But that’s the great thing is to expand on a small idea.

Descriptive Writing Exercises- [link]

Descriptive writing is my weak point at sometimes, and this is fun to find out where your talents like. The site itself has some great links and other exercises that I’ve enjoyed the past few days.

Poetry Games- [link]

I’m not that great of a poet, but I enjoyed playing the games they’ve listed there. And like they said, the results will surprise you.

Also a good book to pick up for Creative Writing its self is called Writer’s Inc.
I started out with this book when I was in elementary school. If you can find a copy I highly recommend working through the book.

Visual Arts
Visual arts are sometimes called the easier side of artistic nature, when in reality visual art can be blocked just as bad as your literature.

Tips and Tricks to kick the block

1.Pick a book series that you enjoy, try your hand at illustrating or painting your favorite scene.

2.Draw/paint yourself in different styles. Spread out with your subjects to your friends, family and pets even.

3.Photography is a good way to unwind and can be fun when you’re doing a theme day. Pick a theme and go on a scavenger hunt for those things!

4.Try drawing with your feet. Seriously.

5.Do a piece on a visual representation of a sound.

6.Pick your favorite color, use only that color to work with all day.

7.Practice on small things, like eyes and noses, fingers, toes, feet and other limbs.

8.Ask someone if they’ll volunteer to be a human canvas, enjoy doodling on human skin. Try your hand at tattoo styled art.

9.Photograph your entire morning routine from your point of view. (WARNING: do not take expensive cameras IN the shower with you while the water is running. Grab a water proof or do it before or after.)

10.Draw a toothbrush as a replacement for other objects you use daily. The result is not only funny, but makes you think of where a toothbrush could fit.

Also remember that the stock photo section is your friend. You can always find a reference there; also seeing other images is a great way to inspire yourself to create a whole new world. Just remember to give the artists their credit and then go nuts.

Photography theme of the week: Circles

Life is what we make it, and the world is what we make it. The eyes of the cheerful and of the melancholy man are fixed upon the same creation; but very different are the aspects which it bears to them.
