There are many definitions for love. There is no true definition for love. Some say it’s a chemical reaction in the brain. Others say its when you care deeply for someone.

Webster’s dictionary defines it as this: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person, Sexual passion or desire, a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart.

During a conversation with my boyfriend he asked me my definition of love. I was appalled to come to figure out I had none. So I put this:

Oh, well, it may be a chemical reaction in the brain, but my definition would have to be: when 2 people care about each other to an extent of knowing basically everything about each other. they know how and when the other is hurting, when they need to be held, when they need to have space, when they just need to be loved on.
And then again, they can be like best friends most of the time.

Now this in only scratching the surface on my opinion on love. I have deeper meaning on it but I was in a rush so I put that… not a good idea… For what he replied to me is this:

To me, Love is that spark that you get when you get to know someone. That spark is small, and cant do much, but must be cared for to become something bigger. Thoughts, feelings, actions are the food of love. With those small things, that spark can become a bonfire that will warm anything and everything around it. Love is something to be handled with care because fire is something that you need to live, but it is also something that can devour you. Keeping yourself at the right distance is a key thing, and I believe that you should truly only jump into the fire with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. Then...you will either be warm for life, or you can be burnt to a crisp and always left with the marks to show that you once loved so deep.

It touched me deeply… My boyfriend and I may have our stupid little problems, but for him to return that… Made me think of this:

Help spread the love. In this world right now, there is so much hate… So much fear… Even on the internet… there is hate and pain… The only thing that can really bring us together right now is love…

Many people say ‘Make love, not war.’ But not everyone listens to this statement.
Spread the love any way you can… Leave a comment on a watcher’s profile who you haven’t talked to in a while, dedicate a picture to love, a poem, even a journal! Help spread the love in the smallest of ways… Even if it’s a simple: I love (insert loved thing here)

My goal: To spread the love through words… I *TiaSanada Will be making a deavation very soon that it titled “Words of Love”. It will have my definition of love, and my boyfriend’s.
