For the second King-Rastels top ten I would have to say that the competition was much stronger this time around and I had a tougher time deciding who to pick. There was a total of eighteen artists who were in the running for the top ten picks and those chosen have received a small promotional critique of why they were chosen. Those who were runner ups for the top ten picks are in the feature as well however they dont get the critique. On a side note the top ten are in no particular order I feel this keeps it a bit more friendly like. Please give all these artists the loving they deserve for their hard work.

Dark Obsession by =Ryukotsusei
A wonderful portrait that shows an artist that not only has great rendering skills but shows and extraordinary amount of patience considering all the rendering was done with a mechanical pencil.

medevial house by =treo7
A beautiful black and white architectural shot that shows a man who knows his craft. The shot is not only well done but conveys a very spooky atmosphere and reminds me of a certain haunted house story that Lovecraft wrote in a tribute to Edgar Allen Poe.

Lotus Prayer by ~Zerj19
Sometimes I feel that there is little appreciation for photo manipulators which is odd considering the art of college has been around for a long while. This is a great example of what a good photo manipulator can do in creating something totally new from something borrowed.

Coccinella Septempunctata by =11-73-3-33
This digital painting while simple is very well done and shows that this artist has a lot of potential in her artistic goals.

Marlene Blue by *Lord-Retsudo
Sometimes simply doing a portrait in a simple way is very effective and this drawing of Marlene Dietrich is a good example. This artist shows a good understanding of value, light and shadow but also knows how to break the rules to make an effective effect.

Death: The high cost of living by ~wakethedevil
Sometimes having a piece of art be simple and uncomplicated can have just the opposite effect and can cause the viewer to see more than there actually is. I can see this artist have a career in the future of the art world.

House by ~Artanthos
OK, While I do admit to being a fan of Hugh Laurie and the show House it had little to do why I picked this among the top ten but rather because it was a very good likeness of him and the rendering shows that Artanthos is on the path to being a great artist.

Balance by *DPasschier
This is one of those photos that you might pass by however the more that you look at it the more interesting it becomes like how you really cannot see the photographer in this straight on shot or how you notice the inverted intrusive qualities of the reflection of the spheres and lastly how it all comes together.

S K Y L I N E +REMIX+ by ~13thSky
Some people like anime and some people do not however it was not it being anime that drew me to this piece but rather the bold composition in trying something daring like this composition does. The artist also show a good deal of skill in both color, value and linework.

Dreams by =CGT
I have always been a sucker for a good Esher tribute and this a very good tribute indeed. It take a great deal of patience and understanding of fundamentals to be able to pull off art like this.

Down below are piece that were in the running for the top ten but just didnt make it buit they deserve recognition as well, so please give them some love as well.

And crawling, on the planet's face, some insects, called the human race, lost in time, lost in space and the meaning.
I'm honoured. Thanks.
