DemonHellNoire was kind enough to link me to the writers tool box, 35 links to help you out.
Go give him some love for this lovely toolbox.
Also go find Wreck This Journal a book that is a creative writing aide and therapy all in one. You even are instructed to burn a page, throw the book out of the car and shower with it.
Visual ArtsVisual arts are sometimes called the easier side of artistic nature, when in reality visual art can be blocked just as bad as your literature.
Tips and Tricks to kick the block1. Draw a holiday scene that you arent familiar with, like Chanukah, Kwanza, Boxing Day, and ect.
2. Draw a bookshelf and make up titles of books, you get a writing aide and an art aide all in one.
3. Try a new way of painting by using a tooth brush for a fun spray effect.
4. Sketch out your room from an upside down view.
5. Design a piece of clothing or a whole outfit; try your hand at sewing!
6. Give chalk or oil pastels a try and work on a planet in our solar system.
7. Try something abstract, paint/draw/scribble/doodle your mood.
8. Try some detailing, like a fingernail with a design on it.
9. Draw without any references at all, just whats in your mind.
10. Have a friend pick an object, put it in a bag and then let you feel the object. Try drawing it out by feel and see how close you get to the actual object. NO PEEKING. D:
Also remember that the stock photo section is your friend. You can always find a reference there; also seeing other images is a great way to inspire yourself to create a whole new world. Just remember to give the artists their credit and then go nuts.
Photo BoxPhoto Theme of the week:Blue
Extra Credit:Go deeper into the theme, not just the color blue. But things it represents, what does it mean to you?
Kick Start and XxTrinityxX regrets:That this article is late, I was feeling a bit ill on Saturday and ended up sleeping most of the day. Sorry for the delay!
Hope you can kick the block!
