How to become popular on DA

By the way, this is not guaranteed to work but it has been stuff that has helped me alot.

#1 Have good art
Yes, DA is still all about the artwork. If people don't like your artwork then there is no point in becoming popular on DA. Also try to vary your artwork. submitting into different categories can bring more people to your page. Submit lots of stuff and if its not that good just put in in your scraps if no one likes it. Submitting lots of art assures that people browsing will have a better chance of coming across your page. It will also give your watchers more stuff to fave.

#2 Comment Fave and watch
Comment on peoples art. then they might go to your page and check out your art work and possibly fav and comment some of your stuff. this also works for faving. i also like to +watch 10 people per day. If you watch someone they will usually drop by your page and give your a pageview or some faves comments or a watch back possibly.

#3 Chats, friends and the thumbshare forum
I like to chat and post my art in the thumbshare chat. this is a good way to get more watchers and to post your work in the chat and get favs and comments. i also create threads in the thumbshare forum and share my work in there. creating a thread seems to get some page views.

#4 Post photos of cute animals
Every time I see a picture of a cute cat or dog it seems to have alot of favs or comments. Also anime is very popular but if you draw anime just post some pics of some cute animals and your sure to get some favs.
