Is it true that people don't read any more? It could well be! I've noticed time and time again that many of DA's writers are left to lurk in the shadows of the artists, photographers (and assorted other!). Well not any more!
Every week I plan on bringing you a collection of 4 writers who I think need some time in the lime light. Remember, stories were being told before writing even existed, and story tellers were revered people, those with the talent to write should be praised and noticed, and that's what I hope will happen.

This week's Dark writer, a poet with a great style and knack at rhyming, something some of us have trouble with hee hee. Well, she's not so much macabre and depressing as..lightly dark, if that makes sense at allAbsentis a brilliant peace that's easy and flowing to read, you'll enjoy it a lot I think, this piece also has some great imagery, and a lot of emotion too.
Theatre-Life I love this one, it's about an actress and the whole idea of acting out real life being acceptable no matter what you do, because you're acting! It reminded me of the film "
Stage Beauty"The Moral of This Story I like this one, again it's a very fast flowing piece to get through and is not too long and not too short, but the ending of it is great.
Perhaps this week's "Emotional" writer, her poems and stories are packed with emotion, some are translations, and others are inspirations from songs, never the less, if you want something more dreamy, than go here.Meri - The Ocean This is a translated poem, but I think that makes it even better. It's one that's filled with emotion, but none the less is nice to read through
Bring Me Your Colours I love poems that utilise colour, and this one is all about that, with a romantic feel to it too.
In Heaven I think this piece is the shortest I've featured so far! But anyway! It's still great!
A writer with a more biographical style, writing of experiences that effect us in our every day lives. Sometimes it's good to hear real life accounts on events, and interesting tooSix Years Later... Not really a fictional piece, this is more of a very short biographical account of the writers first feeling of September 11th
Living with A.D.D. Another great and inspiring true life event. I'm sure in this day and age that most of us know someone or have heard of someone with the condition, though none of us have really asked them how they feel about it.
So Bored
I know exactly how you feel in this poem! I'm sure we've all been there!
This weeks writer of many talents! Her pieces are short and sweet, so to speak (not that I'm saying no one else's on here are) but her writing i one that suits all genres, be it dark, or light humour.Crimson Rain a really short little piece that's emotional and slightly constricting in my opinion...if that made any sense at all. What I mean is that it makes you feel confined when reading it.
The River A short piece written from the viewpoint of a river, and its unique attachment to a girl. Writing about inanimate objects with a life of their own is always interesting.
A Snowflake on a Mission I think this piece is great! Again it's written from the viewpoint of an inanimate object, this time being a little snowflake. It'll make you smile.
