First off I'd like to say... Just because you can trace a screen shot from your favorite anime, change the hair colour, and say it's your smexy new OC 'Naruta' DOES. NOT. MAKE. IT. ART.
We all know it happens. Thousands upon thousands of Deviations here at DeviantArt are traced, or vectored. And what do those dirty rotten tracing whores get for their thievery? Page views. Thousands, sometimes even millions of page views. But these aren't flame page views as you'd suspect. Nope. These are retards going 'OMG YUR ART IS SO KAWAII!!!^^ All yur haters can go die in fire!'. If you trace you deserve to have haters. And maybe YOU should go die in fire. Okay, I don't mean that, but I hate tracers.
TRACING IS NOT ART. No matter what you say. Sure, it takes a little time and effort to colour and shade that picture over. But only like 10 minutes of effort. Now, if you actually think of the art yourself, take the time to draw it yourself, and shade it yourself, then it's art and you deserve your page views, faves, and watchers. But if you trace all your art should get deleted!! Sadly, that doesn't happen though. And I'm going to tell you why.....
DeviantArt is corrupt. If you're a free user your traced art will get deleted in a matter of days and you'll likely receive the ban hammer. But if you subscribe the admins could care less. Just as long as their sites getting money you can do whatever the fuck you want. I'm dead serious about this. I started out reporting Deviations for tracing that was clearly obvious by subscribers and I kept getting the response 'no action taken'. So I began to dig through the internet to get a hold of the originals. Then I took photoshop and put the original over the trace. Just as I thought, the lines matched up perfectly. I then animated those photos so they flashed back and forth between the original and the trace so you could see that they were nearly exact replicas except for maybe a different colour and a shittier background. I sent that to DA and so they could stick that in their juice box and suck it! Now to play the waiting game... Later I looked at the Deviant's traces. Huh... Still there... And later than that I received the same response as before. 'no action taken'.
Well fuck you DA! This site used to be about the art! Now it's just about money and page views! I'm taking a stand! Deviant's who agree with me join me!
Please make this madness stop! I've seen so many amazing artists on this site go unnoticed because everyones orgasming over people who doesn't deserve the fame they've gotten their selves through stealing real art.
You can help out by NOT tracing and reporting traced Deviations. The reports will likely go unnoticed, but maybe, just maybe, we can make a difference.

Proud Norwegian.
We have Vampirella who vector traces Anime.
Then we have WhoeverMcgee who traces a photo of Angelina Jolie.
How is this different? They are both tracing things that don't belong to them. That they have no permission to use. But traceyMcGee gets a DD for it.
It makes no sense to me.
Same goes for people that do "drawings" of famous images and continually get DDs for fantart. Once again. Someone else's work.
They can't justify removing people like Vapirella's work until they remove everything like it which includes a lot of vector art and fanart.
Note: If the person has permission to vector a photo, good. That's the way to go. But Google can't give that.
so thats why the notorious anime 'vector' artist hasn't been banned

This is a piece of artwork of mine. Its a scene from the Dark Knight. IT took me a while to draw this piece. Are you saying its tracing, because it is from a film?
