What's =CallMeOriginal?

We're a club of deviantArt open for all the photographers out there who have that skill to be original.
We're interested in finding those photos that make you go "wow".

We work by themes, Club lets members know about each new theme to submit and for how long (last week of the month is a Free Originality Week, being freestyle time).

And as in every Club out there, we have our Contests and Proyects.


We started 5 months ago with nothing but an illusion, and now that we're growing and growing, we cannot say any other thing than thanks to every single person that has been shoving, helping and participating with us.
=CallMeOriginal exists because of you, and so we want the 2009 to be a year full of Originality.

This is a compilation of how the club has been running during these months, in case you missed something, and/or in case you want to re-see the awesomeness again.

What does it mean ? We, the Club, choose deviantions from your galleries, but also YOU, the members, can, and should!, choose deviantions from other members' galleries to feature them here.

Sometimes they're choosen because of the concept, sometimes because of the building, sometimes because of the beauty... It doesn't matter.

What's the Original Corner?

GAME: Beat the Original!

Info
Our first ever game!
Beat the Original means exactly that, to beat an Original deviantion.
We choose an image (in any format) from the vast galleries of dA, and your assignment is to reproduce a brand new one from that picture (obviously, since we're a photography Club, your format to do it is through a photograph).
Your reproduction can be based in the aspect you most like from the image.

What's Beat the Original?

Stuff going on, purposes and a goodbye

As we've said, we have a Proyect going on where to be so creative that we spit our drinks just watching your photo, also, there're lots of features awaiting
The Free Originality Week just started, it'll be open 'till next Monday (5th). Get your most original photo(s, two thumbs max) in, no rules, only creativy!

Our purpose for this new year is to stick with our Originality statement and take the best out of you, to learn together sharing looks and experiencies, and reward your efforts and help.
More and better Themes.
More and better Contests with more and better prizes.
More and better Proyects where to struggle with your mind to be damn original.
Tips for original photography, news with amazing information and exposure of our members.
More and better games, more Beat the Original's!
And every single thing you want. You know guys that we love hearing your thoughts and ideas. We're always open for everything.

Lastly, but not leastly, we had a lost lately, *ma-ri-a, one of our members, passed away some days ago.
