First and foremost, happy 2009 to everyone!

In the spirit of the new year upon us, we must also reflect back on the year that has just passed. Every moment in our lives holds something valuable; we learn valuable things from the events that happen everyday.

I was recently inspired by a journal entry made by =bekkia, where she made a list of things she's learned through out 2008. It can be found here.

So, after talking to =bekkia, we decided that we want to hear what you've all learned throughout the past year, as well.

Here's what to do:
Send a note to BOTH *mode-de-vie and =bekkia, stating what you've learned in 2008. It can be something serious and wise about life, or just a random tidbit about yourself, as long as it's something you've discovered in the past year.
Write just one thing, or include as many as you like.
Last day we'll be looking for notes is Friday, January 16th.

Here's what we'll do:
Once the deadline hits, we'll go through all the notes and list the things you've learned in a news article for everyone to read.

This is a community wide project. No one is excluded, so don't be shy about participating.

This is all about welcoming the new year by realizing and sharing what we've learned that has helped us grow. Simply put, this project is meant to be fun and possibly inspiring for all of us.
