A call to arms for all Artists!

*Marinshe:iconMarinshe: reports, January 1
Attention

It looks like there is a serious problem with deviantART that the stuff is not paying attention to. A lot of artists' works were lately not sent out as notification to the people watching them. This has led to a serious decrease of visits to their profiles, galleries, and works. I have discovered that many people in my watch list have works that I never saw - I didn't get any notification. I did some research and there are also others who didn't see those or other works! The issue does not seem to affect ALL artists but only some of them!

Action

We need to do something about this. We need to spread the word around deviantART. Sending in bug reports did not solve anything so far neither for me or other artists. Maybe if we can create a critical mass of people aware of this problem deviantART stuff might look into the issue.

Reaction

Put this information into your journal. Look into the most popular galleries in your watch list and search for deviations you did not get notification on. Put this information on the forums. Spread the word. deviantART we want you to look into the problem! We demand you to fix the problem! After all, most of us are PAYING members and we deserve fair service from you!

I have recieved notes about this from a viewer, and also that he could't add deviations, no matter how many the attempts. Also, I have noticed when I have visited som of my fav fellow deviants pages, that they have posted devieations that clearly, I have never seen notices of!

Maybe it is a beta-tester thing?

i've noticed this too. but i'm a beta user. it would be good to find out if these users are beta users so DA can be notified it's a beta issue.
:iconvaggelisf:
oh yes....I have noticed that...
I hope hey will do something about it soon!!!

I would imagine that possibly the new users pages in Beta might (might) have something to do with that...but also thanks, I've been offline and so I have to go and browse some the people on my watch list.

I would also imagine that the problem will be taken care and whatever the bug is, exterminated.
:iconmiyakorei:
I've had this problem for almost a year now yet no one has even made an attempt at fixing it. I'm agreeing with *absolutpe in thinking it has something to do with the beta-testers. Either way I'm adding this information to my journal to see if it helps. I'm glad someone else finally gave this issue some attention :aww:
