Do you know how to find category descriptions for stock?

Category descriptions can be found in two places. While browsing the gallery, you can hover over the "i" that appears in the page header and the description will pop up.

Descriptions are also including in the submission menu. To read a particular description, browse to that category and click the "Gallery Info" button. This allows you to verify that you are uploading your photographs or images in the proper place.

The first image in the screen shot below displays the submission menu where you can find the "Gallery Info" button. The second image displays the next page which contains the description.




In the future there may be other ways to find this information but for now this is the set up. Below are descriptions for some of the most commonly used categories. If you are not familiar with these, you could bookmark this article for future use.



Animals - Stock images of domestic and wild animals, arachnids, insects, fish, reptiles, etc.

Classical - Stock vintage images of people, places, objects, nature, etc.

Food - Stock images of meat, vegetables, fruit, desserts, beverages and other edible items.

Nature - Stock images of an expanse of natural scenery that can be seen in a single view. Typically forests, sky, waterscapes, landscapes, fire, and weather.

Objects - Stock images of inanimate objects such as weapons,
statues, models, etc.

Plants - Stock images of living plants, flowers, floral arrangements, cut or dried flowers and trees.

Technical - Stock images of machinery, gears, computer components, and metering instruments, etc.

Model Stock Full Body - Stock images of the model's full body from head-to-toe.

Model Stock Full Portrait - Classic portrait images that do not display the models full body but include the models face.

Model Stock Full Anatomy - Closeup images of the human form. These images focus on a small region of the subject.
