Popular and Unpopular Deviants

~animaybanana101:iconanimaybanana101: reports, January 4
For the time I've been on Deviantart I've noticed many things going on here with artists. Art thiefs, posers and Deviations. But the one thing that really stands out to me on deviantart is the attention some deviants get and some that dont. Let's first start with the popular deviants. Sure they get 100-1,000 page views a day, overloading messages in their inbox of watcher comments and have the most favored artwork but it could get annoying right? and I'm sure most of you get tired of deviants rushing in and commenting, posting the same thing over and over again. "That's so cool." "I like it." "Instant faves!"...popular deviants get all the love but what about the unpopular deviants? Not so much page views, not alot of comments or favs of their artwork...it almost makes them seem invisible (sadly). This can cause unpopular deviants to think less of their talent and selves. I believe both unpopular and popular deviants should get the same equal love no matter how their artwork looks like. It's not about how good you are in art..it's about expressing yourself without talk but action.

well I guess what I'm saying is that we should all pay attention to the invisibility that is growing frequently...I started.

I am in between popular and unpopular and so are others.

Feel free to reflect your opinions.

That's pretty much what I think. I don't think it should really matter if someone can draw a landscape in seconds, or if they cant even draw a strait line... even with a ruler. People should look at art work like an expression, not the quality of it. That's mainly why I can't judge art work or even tell someone who draws better.

I think the internet.. and deviant art can get in the way of your creativity. People get so caught up in dumbass pageviews and being popular with people on the internet they forget what they are doing. They rush through artwork just to have something to post. Before you know it..this website means nothing but pageviews. Which is lame. Just make your art and chill.

"Check out and see if you made the next issue of Best of Random Deviant Hello."
:iconyeahgirl11:
Nice article. I agree 100%.

That's the problem with these kinds of sites. Once they get too popular, things go downhill. :hmm:

It's supposed to be an art site, for God's sake, so everyone should have equal opprotunity.

Lol, you said it all. :XD:

I'm not into saying who draws better or not, because we all have to start somewhere, and everyone has their own thing with art. That's what it's all about.

Your icon, and how much you talk to people. I'm a "watch-a-holic" so I love helping amazing people get noticed D:>

When I saw one of her pictures I insantly watched her but she only had a couple hundred pageviews, almost no comments, and no watchers. It was terrible.

My legend began in the 12th century.

Commissions are almost full
:icondarkriderdlmc:
The random deviant button is a big help for combating this as is returning the visits of people who hit your page.

I find a lot of real fancee art that way!

So, I pull my coat back and real slow (no reason to start it up yet) I rest my hand by the Smith. Then I give them that cold smile and in the low, soft killing voice I say, "Gentlemen, I'm your worst nightmare. A gunfighter with a rendering station"
:iconazureluck:
But the thing is, there are MILLIONS of people on DA, and not everyone's lucky enough to be a random deviant.

I feel that there are a lot of people out there who draw very well, pretty much at the level and skill as the popular deviants, but they're not being noticed. I feel really bad for them because they've put all that hard work for little or nothing. And because of that, some of them quitted because they feel as if they're wasting their time and effort.
