Global warning, deluges, aridity, snowfalls, ...
The Earth is telling us she's suffocating.
And what do we do? What could we do? What do we HAVE to do?
It's time to change. It's time to act.
We need strong leadership on climate change. Too many politicians are happy to speak about the issue, but their promises have often turned out to be just a load more hot air. One exception is the United Kingdom, where a climate law has just been adopted, which will force the government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions every year.
We need your help to ensure that other governments follow this example.
On 10th August, more than 6,000 people took part in the recording of The Big Ask-video clip at Ostende on the Belgian coast. This was the largest event against climate change ever organised in Belgium. The film clip was made possible due to the engagement of volunteers from Friends of the Earth, and many film industry professionals including award winning director Nic Balthazar, film crews, production houses, actors, ... Music has been supplied by Hooverphonic.
The video clip has been launched, and now is the time to send it round the world, and to share it with everyone you know!
You can view the clip at
[link] After you've watched the clip, do something, ACT NOW! Send the clip to politicians in your own country, and send the clip to friends, family, and colleagues.
Friends of the Earth groups are running The Big Ask climate campaign in 17 European countries, so if you are in one of these countries, you can sign an online petition after you have watched the film.
Raise your voice, shout it on the train or in the middle of the street, stand on your desk at work: ACT THE F*CK NOW!!!
The time for talking is over, it's time for action!

I am living in China right now, and I can give a very simple example:
some animals are forbidden to hunt because they are rare and will disappear soon. but some people still hunt them because they can make expensive food from them. that food is just eaten by rich people and those who are supposed to set the law and the rules to save those animals. no one listens, no one wants to listen, and no one cares... in this case, those laws are just ink on papers, and those words are just a tone we hear and then it will be history. and the real fact, the real fate, is that we just destroy, kill, and do what no other creature does. since we have a brain, but it seems that that brain, unfortunately does not work well. it is sad, but this is what human are...
Without exchange the law of the maximum profit for the global interest ( ealth, instruction, food peace..... for the maximum of people), impossible to save the earth.
We can produce food for 12 milliards of people. In fact, every african or south american who dies of malnutrition is a victim of a crime.
Except a global révolution, I don't see any solution because it's impossible to speak sériously with the political-économical power. For them, we are always children or stupid because we are from the people and they" know what is good for us".
I wish this kind of action: one day, a maximum of people stop to work, do shopping.... fall down and play dead in the same time, eventually with fake massive suicides in big cities, with fake blood, noise of bombs or gun machine, things like that, to wake up the sleeping silencious majority
In everything we do we can- and should think about what effect it has to our environment, the others around us ofcourse and as much we have to think about the nature we live in. We don't master the nature, not the Earth, least of all the Universe and we never will, even some seem always be trying. As the animals, the whole nature try to help us, we should help the Earth in return.

I can't understand why people don't understand if Earth disappears, we're all gone.
Sometimes I'm pessimistic too, but I think we have to believe, and to act sometimes, to make a better future...

people really do not understand how serious the situation is. the global warming starts to have results a few years ago, and those results are becoming serious year after year.
for example, China is known for polution. since I came here, I didn't see any stars at night. even when there are no clouds. the polution prevend that. and in some places, so many cars and motorcycles, and you can not breath at all. So many people talk. but sadly one hand can not clap alone....
When I talk to a friend about this problem, e answered me: "I don't even believe the global warming is true. I'm a 30 years old man now, and 20 years before scientists were alarmed about the same thing, and it was time to act..."
I hope he isn't right, but it scared me.
What if scientists knew the situation 20 years ago, and did nothing?
If it's true, it's already too late for or planet to be safe...
