I am actually quoting from a friend that sent me an email about IT and websites rules that are happening in the U.S.
As ease of access will be a major issue here in the U.S. this coming year due to the recent ADA Guidelines recently passed into law. All federal agencies and private companies who deal with the government are required to meet the terms which can be located through this link
Section 508 Standards.
An example: "it was recently found out that the Olympic website was partially sponsored by taxpayer's money. I heard from a reliable
source (accessibility domain expert) that they are in the process of preparing for a lawsuit."
I do not know how this affects Philippine businesses who deal with U.S. government funded projects but if you are concerned with this check the link

as well - with html you can change the text size (assisting visually impaired or ppl with migranes such as myself) to facilitate easier reading - whereas flash you're stuck. i dislike going to sites and they have itseybitsey little buttons and you can't read what they say.. mrph.
so i think this is a good idea and kind of wonder why it took so long to come up..
