Do you love fantasy creatures? Well, use your imagination and design your own! The most original design will win! As you can see in my gallery, I love drawing my own creatures so I hope there will be a lot of entries!

Prizes
Because creatures can be monsterous or cute, there will be two 1st place winners! One for the cute category and one for the monster category.

1st place:
-3 month subscription
-feature
-Animation of your creature (optional)

2nd place:
-feature
-drawing of your creature (optional)

3rd place:
-feature

Rules
-Deadline: March 4th
-No existing mythological creatures(like dragons etc.)It must be your own design.
-No Furries!
-No photography or literature.
-Only submissions created after January 11th will be accepted.
-You can send as many entries as you want, but you can win only once.
-Let me know which category you're submitting for when sending your entry.

Contest mistakes.
I've joined many contests and sometimes experienced some unfairness. To avoid this, I will stick to the following:

-No winners by voting. This is the most unfair way to choose a winner. There is a big chance contestants will ask their 'friends' to vote for them. In the end, the winner will be the person who has the most 'friends' instead of the best entry.
-No extension of the deadline. I've experienced this many times and it's really annoying! Especially if the winner is someone who joined after the deadline extension.
-Only accept submissions made for this contest. Well, it's easy to join a contest if you already have a picture that fits the theme. But that doesn't stimulate creativity! And it's unfair against the people who made especially something for the contest.
-No false hope. It's really a disappointment if the judge is very positive about your entry but doesn't let you win. So, I won't comment on the quality of your entry until the contest is over.
-No big influence by taste. I've joined contests where winners were obviously chosen by the taste of the judge. So, I will at least try to be objective and for more ensurance, I will let Roel van Mastbergen be my second judge.
-Drawings as prize optional. I never really wanted a drawing as a prize, especially if the contest holder is not an artist I like. Also, I think it's discouraging or weird for the contest holder if the winner is better than him/her. So, you may choose if you want this prize or not.

Another note:
I've experienced contests with populair or already subscribed (for years) people joining. That's really frustrating if you're not populair and need a subscription. I can't do anything about this, but I hope people who really need a subscription will get a
chance.
