Long standing "favorite" bug... swatted.

$20after4:icon20after4: reports, January 12
There is a long standing bug involving fav'd news that just won't go away. Well this commonly reported problem is finally seeing some action despite the fact that my fellow code monkeys and I have repeatedly dismissed the issue. The problem, it seems, isn't in the code at all, and that explains why none of us have been able to track down the problem - it's not reproducible whatsoever with the current code base...

So why won't these fav's go away? - It's a result of an ancient bug that was fixed long ago with consequences which are long forgotten. Some of the favorites from a couple of years ago got entered into the database incorrectly, although they were visible on deviant's userpages, they were beyond the reach of the "Undo Favorite" function which would otherwise provide relief.

Well, fortunately for those deviants who have been haunted by these undead fav's for so long, relief is near! We have isolated the problem and all that's left to do is to put those stubborn favorites in their place and all will be well...
