Many photographers use models as the central subject and/or as important elements of their photographic creations. Here on dA these photographs are usually submitted to one the People and Portraits sub-categories. These sub-categories include many styles ranging from Classic Portraits through to Fashion Portraits and Artistic Nude (to name just a few).

The common theme in all of these artworks is the need for a MODEL, without which the photograph could not have been created. In most cases, the models are required to be more than just a prop – they are often required to hold difficult poses in any climatic condition for extended periods. Many models are also an integral part of the artistic process, by adding their ideas and suggestions on elements such as themes, styles, poses, lighting, hair, make-up and more.

Recognising this, fellow deviant =catsagecat has come up with “Respect Models Week” . As a part of this week, she has come up with two Contests for dA models.
