So let's start this week's journey.

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Ahmed Al-Refaie, I'm 22 years old, born and raised in Kuwait.

2. When did you fall in love with art?
I loved art ever since I was a child. To me art is a visual expression of things. I use art to express my thoughts and feelings. I've started creating art when I was 10, from scribbles to more scribbles, till today, shifting from traditional to digital art.

3. How can you describe your style?
When I was first introduced to Vector art I was amazed but this amazement was killed a while after because I kept repeating the same thing over and over. I finally realized that there are plenty of vectors out there and I should create something with meaning, detail and different and not be tied to a specific reference. That enabled the freedom of my mind to surf in my imaginations. My style falls under the Vector category yet is different than vectors.

4. What tools/software do you use to create your artworks?
All my art from start to finish is created on Photoshop Cs3, using mainly the pen-tool, no brushes or filters are involved. I don not use a tablet, just a regular mouse.

5. Can you tell us what you are currently working on?
I'm currently working on sketches for a new artwork which is totally different from all my other work. I still dont have a vivid idea overall, but I am getting somewhere.

6. And finally- what are your 3 favourite deviations from your gallery?

mmmnnn...I was thinking, I don't saw a theme about oriental cultures (Japan, Chine, Asia, etc...) I would like to see a notice dedicated to this theme, where all people from west can enjoy many pieces inspired in magnificent culture from these magical lands, hope you like this idea...:thanks:

:) thanks for these links my friend, ninjas, samurais & geishas are OK, this is a fundamental content to create a theme about oriental cultures, but I was thinking in something more extense, for example, I was thinking to include pieces inspired in traditional paintings, architecture, myths and traditional costumes from other countries from Middle East or countries like India, Corea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand beside to these famous themes from Japan & Chine about geishas & samurais, these countries have many other different cultural traditions to contribution of Japan and China that we can combine to create a theme more varied & extense...My idea is captured the entire essence from eastern cultures...:)
