Well… searching for clown images on deviantART, I’ve seen that most of people are afraid of clowns, or think clowns are evil and scary, and I wonder WHY? I think it’s Pennywise and Ronald McDonald’s fault (and maybe The Joker too!) They certainly ARE SCARY! But hey, there are A LOT of different types of clown, and most of them are NOT evil! Because of one or two bad examples, people hate clowns, and some of them have never seen one!
There’s the circus clown, the theatre clown, the street clown, the white-face clown, the sad clown, the clown that only wears a red nose… and so many of them! Clowns only want to make you laugh, a clown is a person who shows you in all its vulnerability, just to put a smile on your face… maybe that’s why I like better the “minimalist” clown, instead of the ones with a lot of makeup, a wig, and other stuff… That things CAN be scary, really, but what’s scary about a person with a red nose (the smallest mask in the world) that just wants to make you laugh and touch your heart?
Give clowns a chance!
