Spring is approaching, though the winter is not yet over. The prospect brings to mind new beginnings.
One of the most under publicized image of the female body and also one of the most enigmatic and beautiful images of the female body is the pregnant woman.
The image of the pregnant woman and her belly is one of the most natural and eternal sights. She is a giver of life. She shelters and nurtures her unborn child. She is a vision of pure femininity, almost a sacred figure. Because of this, I give you the Pregnant Woman Feature.
Let us begin with a poem:
Your eyes are bright and sparkling.
Your cheeks have got a glow.
Your belly's being touched and rubbed
by people you don't know.
You're craving weird, exotic foods
and calories don't matter.
You can't remember life without
an elbow in your bladder.
You're getting medical advice
from everyone you see
Welcome to the joyous days
of Motherhood-to-be
Now onto the feature:

Let us salute those women of valor who give their bodies and their lives to bring life into the world.
