Stand before the banner 35 by `Elandria

An interview with...=Nirelstock

1:First off - what inspired you to start a stock account?
people told me I should do it, because I have alot of different dresses, and first I thought like no, I dont wanna share my images, but then I started to think that actually why not, I have so many images that I dont use myself, so why not let others use them?

2:How did you choose your username?
well as nirelleth is the name of my real account, i thought nirellethstock is too long, but nirelstock is good, as nirel is the short form of my name ;)

3:What is it about the stock community that keeps you active?
I am interacting on my stock account alot more with people then on my normal account and I really enjoy this, as well as I love seeing what other people can do with my work!

4:How would you like your stock to be used more?
Just more photomanips, I don't care in what way, really ;)

5:Do you have any tips for people starting a stock account?
Be sure to have good light on your images, a good sharpness, and a good size, otherwhise they can't be used. Plus try to be original, then your stock will be used the most!

6:Why chose to stock at DA and not morguefile/sxc/photlia/etc...
I don't know too much about those sites, but here I always know where my stock goes to, I have control and I am always credited (i just noticed that with stock from sxc, people only say its from sxc, but not from who)

7:How far would you go to take a stock picture?
Well as far as for any of my images, and that is alot, it is minus 5 ° here at the moment, and last friday I lay into the cold snow with bare arms, just to take good images :P.
Or once I was sitting very high up with a blindfold, eventhough i am scared of heights, so :P

8:Are there any things that you wish people would stop doing with your stock?
Yes, two things: 1) only minor manipulations, I state in my rules that this is not allowed and I dont like it.
2) put them into a nameless collection with naked women.

9:Show me three of your favourite stock uses!

10:Is there anyone at dA whose stock you particularly admire, or have any other stock artists influenced your own work?
well not really influences but there are some really great stockers I admire =rammkitty-stock `Elandria

11:You have a lot of dark themed stock - has the darker side of art always been a passion for you?
yes, that is my style (im goth) so I always walk around like that, and that defintily is how I photograph best (eventhough i made some lighter photos too, because sometimes it is interesting to do so). And I just provide a good wardrobe for dark images so that is what I go for ;).
Eventhough I don't like the too much cliche-dark-work.

12:You have some gorgeous locations that you take your stock photos in - is it far from your home?
Well most of them are still in my country, however when I travel I always have an eye for good locations and possible shoot there. I am willing to travel for good locations though ;). But there are some gorgeous one just really near to me, so I do use those a lot!

13What is your favourite flavour of crisps?
:giggle: salt&vinegar, eventhough they don't sell it here (in switzerland)

Thank you =Nirelstock! Your lack of crisps saddens me though!

:peace:
