One World One Art Tour: Strokes for Hope

~ume-boshi:iconume-boshi: reports, December 18
This is an international exhibit that will tour several countries and by shown in multiple galleries over a two-year period. The title, Strokes for Hope, refers to painting with compassion and a forward vision. It suggests that works submitted will reflect, on some level, that the artist is thinking about issues such as world peace, hunger and poverty that require positive social change. It is hoped that works will create some viewer awareness or stimulate public thought/action about these types of issues. Work may be abstract or realistic. There is no restriction on style. Creative approaches are encouraged!

Eligibility
Open to all artists world-wide. Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces for consideration. Works selected by jurors from submitted entries will be chosen on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution. All works must be original and completed within the last four years. Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2010.

Monthly Club Features => January 2009

As we promised, we will be featuring our club's best submissions on the first of every month, starting now.

January's best submissions sent to The ~AllArts Club are the following (the order is from the oldest to the newest):

:butterflytwo: PHOTOMANIPULATION:

:butterflytwo: OTHER DIGITAL ART:

:butterflytwo: WALLPAPERS:

You are most welcome to visit our member's page and tell them what you think about their work :aww:
We changed the category placings for some of the featured artwork, because we thought it didn't fit right were it was originally placed. :D

Other Club Updates

As we already posted on our journal, we are looking for donors! So, if you have the resources, please help us by donating a subscription to the club, so we can better feature our lovely members, or send us prizes for our next contest!
We will be announcing the beginning of our new contest as soon as we will gather enough prizes for our participants :giggle:

The "New ID Contest"

Our ID Contest has ended on the 15-th of January, and, unfortunately, we had very few entries. There were 5 competing creations, but one of them wasn't considered an entry anymore, since the creator became, later on, one of the club's administrators. Also, an other entry was disqualified for requesting votes and for not asking permission to the original creators for using their artwork (which was taken from our gallery, but was not stock!). So we were forced to remain with only 3 entries, and the judging was done by the club's admin team.

The lucky winner was =Grooveinjector, with his entry:

Also, the other 2 valid, and very good entries were:

by ~pirate-sarah-pdc and by ~SoDoXa.

If you like them, fell free to fave them :aww: The creators will really appreciate your support.

We are really hoping that our next contest will have a lot more entries :(

Details about joining the contest, the categories and the prizes see on the club's main page.
Also, you can see the entries, so far, here: [link]
