DeviantART would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the Holiday Card Project 2008! The Project continues to surpass expectations and I'm happy to share that we received a record breaking amount of both participants and cards. With the help of
over 1200 deviants, we were able to deliver
nearly 2000 holiday cards to patients undergoing hospital stay during the holiday season.

Heidi passed out cards at University of California Irvine, Medical Center. Marking the fifth year in a row we've done so, UCI employees have begun to look forward to our yearly visit. But the real payoff comes from meeting the patients, who are always warm and receptive to our cause. Patients who
haven't heard of deviantART enjoy learning that cards were sent in by artists from around the globe. Patients who
have heard of deviantART couldn't be more excited to receive cards from fellow deviants and meet staff members from HQ.

Cards were also delivered and distributed to five other hospitals:

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California

Highland Hospital in Oakland, California

University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Missouri

Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York

The Toronto Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario
Special thanks to $
mudimba, ^
cmptrwhz, $
eStunt, and $
Moonbeam13 for distributing cards in their respective areas. (Staff members and deviants try to personally hand deliver cards to patients, but sometimes due to health and privacy concerns it isn't always possible.)
Orchestrating the Holiday Card Project is no small task. It takes a group effort to organize mail, open cards, type usernames, and line-up hospitals. Cheers to the entire deviantART HQ crew for their help, with extra thanks to $
thechick14 and $
evafleur for typing the usernames of all participants.
The 2008 Holiday Card Project was a huge success thanks to you -- the deviantART community. It's hopefully safe to say that everyone who participated found it to be a rewarding and touching experience. My sincere thanks go to deviantART's caring, artistic, and thoughtful members.
Thank you.

Heidi As promised, all participants of the Holiday Card Project were given a free one-month subscription. (Those subscriptions have all been awarded and activated.) If for some reason you did not receive your subscription, please see below.

Stay calm. Be cool. All will be well. Send $
Heidi a note with the following information:

Your name

The approximate date your card was sent

A one sentence description of your card

The location you sent it from

Wait patiently. $
Heidi will get back to you shortly
In the event you weren't given a subscription, that doesn't mean your card wasn't received and/or given to a hospital patient. There are many factors to be taken into consideration. Please keep that in mind.
