Hi, =jendee and ~eggy-studios (Egress) here! It's been brewing in our minds a while that the art theft on DA - to be used off dA for RPGs and the like - has skyrocketed. We all know this comes from people who don't have the resources or dedication to create their own pictures. Often manipulations have stock accredited in their descriptions and this is lost when someone slaps a picture on their own RPG. So, getting back to the point, us two have decided to cut down in theft in a new, different way than sprinkling more copyrights across an image.

Provide stock manipulations.

But what is a stock manipulation? A term =jendee coined, a "stock manipulation" is a ready-made image, much like a freebie provided at studios, that can be used much like a stock image. We believe that if we could provide these stock manips to the public, people would be more apt to look over the copyrighted manipulations that manipulators like us create every day, in favor of these free images. Categories would include pictures just of subjects commonly used in RPGs such as wolves and horses, interesting backgrounds, both put together that can be manipulated to create a mood, and truly ready made images: both put together with effects.

But every image requires stock... while Jendee has opened her stock account as rights-free to those (and only those) who would use her pictures to help the stock manipulation cause, and Egress has collected a nice fat stock conglomeration, it takes more than a few images to sate the thirst of thousands in the public who would otherwise steal for their characters' images.

So this is a shout-out to stock photographers who would donate images to the cause - you would be credited in the comments of the given stock manipulation, but not on the image. You would hence receive any traffic from those looking at the original, free-to-maim stock manipulation but not offsite. Many photographers are sour to providing rights-free photos, which is why we need your help. Any and all picture that are free for you to offer are appreciated!

If you want to contribute yet have no photos you could go out and spread the word and perhaps scavenge some photos from dA that don't require credit, or watch our account ~StockManips. We appreciate high-quality manipulations using rights-free photos, whether they be background images, pictures of horses/other subjects, or both put together. Just remember to include a .psd file for download!
