Quite a few Twilight-related attacks have been reported. Many on people who are anti-Twilight, and even one on an actor who could be replacing Taylor Lautner in the movie version of New Moon. These attacks are of physical harm, cyber, felony, harassment type.

The physical harm range from being slapped...

...to being choked.

Here are a few clips of said attacks from a post on the message board, "Twihard Attack Directory."

"So we begin making a script and of course they bring up twilight in it saying such things as "Hey guys, lets go over to the hot topic! They have the best Twilight stuff!" and seeing as how I don't agree with this they let me (in the play) state my disliking of the book (which was really mild "I do not like that book, it is not a good book."). So anyway when its our turn to present everything goes well and people laugh at the jokes and I just live out the rest of that period. When the bell finally rings I pick up my stuff and walk out, unaware of this girl following me. I walk down the hall when she punched me on the back of my head sending me into the lockers that lined the wall (I'm small ._.). So I quickly turned around and of course I was like "What the hells going on?!" and she just yells at me screaming stuff like "YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS THAT YOU AREN'T AS SEXY AS EDWARD!"at me while trying to hit me in the face. Luckily I was holding my literature book(1000 pages hard backed!) and she only got in like 3 punches(my nose bled D: ) before I lifted it up to protect me. After a few seconds of this a teacher was there and trying to pull her away. I kinda just checked out after that..."

Its a shame that some fangirls can't take a simple, "I don't like that book." And on top of that, they'd go and punch a person in the face, even after they hit them in the back of the head.

Me: (Shrug) It was okay.
Beth: (eyes narrow): Okay?
Me: It wasn't my thing. {Note that I didn't say it sucked or its awful or anything like that. I just said I wasn't into it.}

Beth: You're lying. You didn't read the book. How could you not like it?!
Me: I didn't say-
Beth: (nodding her head all crazy-like) Uh-huh. I got something for you, puta. (if someone could tell me what puta means, I'd appreciate it.) >
Me: (confused) What? I don't understand. ???
Beth: I bet you like that Harry Potter shit.
Me: Not really. :-/
Beth: FUCK YOU!!!
Me: Huh-
Beth: Shut the fuck up! You better watch your back bitch. (pulls out switchblade) Before this meets your throat."

Threatened with a knife for saying it "wasn't my thing" Its a very scary thought, being threatened for not even saying anything offensive about Twilight, in a casual conversation. I hope every fellow Anti-Twilight (Yes, I am anti-Twilight.) person will be careful out there.

Here is one of the scariest situations on that message board.

"Her: Oh, Harry Potter? Does that mean you like Twilight?
Me: Yeah, it's pretty good.
Her: It's fantastic!
Me: I wouldn't go that far. I mean it's a good series, but it doesn't deserve all the hype it's gotten.
Her: Excuse me?
Me: What?
Her: Listen, I don't know what planet you're from, but Stephenie Meyer is a genius!
Me: No, she isn't. She's an average author, who wrote an average book!

She just stares at me angrily for quite a while, then obviously seeming to have decided on something, wrapped her hands around my throat."

Actor Micheal Copon is getting threats and flames from Taylor Lautner fans because he might replace him in the upcoming film. Such threats and flames include the following:

"He's [Taylor's] done all the hardwork and so deserves it,"
"I don't want you playing Jacob Black in New Moon because Taylor is perfect"
"You're a douche."

There is even a facebook group devoted to harassing Mr. Copon, which currently has over 1290 members. The club calls itself "I REJECT Michael Copon as Jacob Black: SAVE TAYLOR NOW!"

There was even a riot at a Hot Topic in a mall in the city of San Fransisco because of leading male actor, Robbert Pattinson, was supposed to make an appearance. The mall was only expected 500 fans, so it was only guarded with four security guards. Thousands of unexpected fans showed up, and quite a few of the people waiting to meet Mr. Pattinson got hurt. A purse was stollen, shoes thrown, and a girl got a few cuts on her neck from being dragged backwards by other fans to get a better view of the actor.

I, personally, got flamed by a Twilight Fan. You see, I make icons, right? Well, I've done well over 10 pro-Twilight ones, so I decided it was time to actually make something anti-Twilight. I did, and the icon has a clear message of "I hate Twilight. Shut up about it." I wrote in the artist's comments,
"SO everyone who hates it: enjoy
SO everyone who loves it: Don't comment badly."
And, what do you know? I got a message saying, "I love Twilight, So fuck you." The harassment is clearly here, on deviantART, too. I know, cyber cusses aren't as bad as getting punched, but it was a point. It looks like we anti-Twilight folk never can express our opinions freely, without the chance of a painful outcome.

I don't understand why they penalize us for hating it, though. Their beloved Robert Pattinson said that he was embarased to read the Stephanie Meyer's "repressed sex fantasy." Kristen Stewart even dissed it. <sub>(see [link])

By this article, I wish to warn and inform you all about the dangerous and painful attacks Twilight has brought. A few people could have lost their lives thanks to the obsessed fans. I'm not saying that Twilight is awful and never should have been written, but I'm saying that Twilight fans need to take a chill pill, and be able to accept that not everyone will love Twilight, and if someone says something bad about it... then just accept it and ignore it.

Twilight fans: Please don't add to the list of attacks. No one should be harmed for not liking something.
Twilight haters: Please be careful.
