This feature was brought together by my watchers and hours of browsing galleries for inspiring pieces that have gone unnoticed. Here are the results, one hundred beautiful photographs with under one hundred favorites. Let's give these artists the attention they deserve <3
We have decided to organize this contest to motivate people create more art. We would be happy if you would give it a try. You can think of anything you want, just make sure you still respect the theme. You can choose to illustrate dreams, nightmares or even both of them. Anything you want! Try not to be macabre if you are picturing nightmares. Respect the rules, have fun and most important, follow your heart!
This is the third part of my "Best Of The Best" features! These features consist of my absolute favorite photography that i've collected since i've been a member of DeviantArt.
This feature's focus is on VERTICAL photography, give them some love!
There are so many incredible artists on deviantart! You could spend half of your week (like I do!) on this website and not even see a quarter of the beautiful work that's been submitted. To help showcase some of the best, here's volume one of "Five Artists". Every "season" or so I'll hopefully find five awesome artists (each with under 40,000 pageviews, this time!) that you can visit, favorite, watch and overflow the inboxes of with loving comments!
All of her photos are so different and unique! The pictures in her gallery range from dark, emotional shots such as "Get Back" to sunshine-filled, happy pieces like her "Fields of Gold". Asides from having awesome photos, she's super friendly, too. She talks to you about life and is generally a great deviantARTist. :]
Okay, so I know this feature is indeed in the photography category, but there isn't exactly an Art News> Photography and Anime section. For those of you out there that considered leaving this page when you came across the word anime, don't click the "x"! That's just one of the awesome things about ~autumncry's art- his pictures aren't the overdone, stereotypical anime that consists of ridiculously large eyes like those seen in some children's cartoons (think Powerpuff girls times 5) and women who are outrageously proportioned, but the beautiful, semi-realistic kind. His photos are so original and who knew that so much emotion could be illustrated with just a pencil?
Samantha is an amazing person and photographer. Her works showcase such beauty and at the same time manage to be thought-provoking! Whenever you're down, she always has an encouraging comment to offer, like this quote that she sent to me once when I was feeling extraordinarily uninspired: "Photography to me is a challenge of rhythm and energy. Knowing how to evoke the desired feeling or sensation and when to capture it at its climax. A photograph is a single moment frozen for all eternity. That moment has the power to be an explosion of energy, of joy, sadness, lust, laughter, desire, hatred, love, agony and ecstasy! Anything powerful ever experienced can be frozen into one single frame and immortalized for all to see. Unlike film or video where you have time, sound, music and movement to convince an audience to feel or to understand; with a photograph you only have that one instant. They either love it or they don't, they either feel it or they pass on by. Great moments pass us all by every day. My job is to not only create, but to capture those moments and to save them for the world to see." (- River Clark, photographer)
The work of this deviantARTist is incredible, too. From extremely well photographed shots of dark apartments to beautiful senior shots and more, you need to look at his gallery. Specifically, he has a wonderful way of taking an ordinary shot and transforming it into the extraordinary by using simple but original techniques such as an interesting position of someone's hands to fill up space.
The photographs from =louise-knight were taken in possibly some of the most beautiful places on Earth. She combines abandoned, old castles and elegant, flowing dresses for an awesome, sophisticated effect. From her great "Trash the Dress" photographs to conceptual pictures of sequined pink shoes by the highway, she really deserves to have her work be more recognized. Besides taking awesome pictures, she has crazy fashion design skills, as well! In the photograph below entitled "flow", of the fuschia dress, she designed and made that beautiful piece.
wow, there are some really beautiful peices there lovely article!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
