Greetings Folks, welcome to the APN News Roundup!--- I have a lot of news today I will be sharing with ya all, so kick back, relax, get a beer, iced tea, coffee, whatever, and enjoy! Now on with the show!

Updated DD guidelines for APN---Recently I have updated my guidelines for DDs, these are located in a module within my journal [link] be sure to check them out! Here are some of the DDs I have recently given out:



The Unposted DDs---- Without a doubt, one of the hardest things as a GM is trying to choose what gets posted as DDs. This is a truly hard task, and often not easy by any stretch. Sometimes it is relatively simple, where I feel the image doesn't have the quality standard I expect, or it is really close, but to noisy, or some other flaw, and often the deviant had a deviation within a 3 month allowance....but make no question about it, this is a daunting duty for me and every other GM. Often the ones that don't get selected I like to show in my journal or in APN News articles, and today, I would like to feature some that didn't make the cut here in this News article. Go give them some love folks!










Greg Schneider Professional APN Interview--- Recently I have the pleasure of interviewing Greg Schneider for the latest "APN Professional Interview Series" [link] Greg is an amazing photographer and some of his images are below.



New APN Interview--- Is now in the works, and starting on that now. So be ready, it will be up this week I hope. And no, I am not unveiling who I have brought to DA this time until the article is posted! lol He's a secret, but this is going to be a gooooood one!

Nature Photography with meaning!---- Recently ~Orca8 noted me to tell me about the image below. I figured this was certainly worth sharing here, sometimes, nature photography goes beyond photography and has a very deep meaning to it, crossing into "Nature Photojournalism" where the image is more illustrative than anything else. The description on this shot is very much worth reading, in fact, not reading it would leave with no understanding at all of the image and what it portrays. Give this a good look over and nice read. It is amazing.

The The Un-noticed!--- One of the things I love doing when I am doing miscats is discovering all these new photographers who have been on here for awhile, or in some cases not to long, but who have simply amazing and outstanding images which I feel the community needs to see! In fact, I have an entire collection of these images called "The Un-noticed" which can be seen at any time here [link] It simply amazes me that so many outstanding shots go unseen and un-noticed on a daily basis.
