Welcome to the my fifth top ten picks feature. The turn out of contestants for this gave me a lot to choose from. Just like the feature before this one a there was plenty of good artists to choose from and there were a lot of people in the running for this feature however only ten shall reach the title of top ten picks and receive a promotional critique but the runners up will still get featured. Everyone please give these people your love, comments or favorites.
In this feature instead of using the code word Lovecraft I asked what everyone thought of the changes that have been happening to DA recently. From what I have read there are a lot of mixed feelings and point of views. As for my own I am pretty much in line with everyone and because of my nature I allow myself to see and understand other peoples view points while retaining my own. In short I will like to say to everyone that change is the one constant in life but we are the ones who can help direct and allow what is to change and what is not to change. However despite my own philosophical views I must digress and to let everyone know that the next feature after this one shall have a new question.
The below link is to the thread that started this feature so that everyone can see what everyone brought up with this question. [link] King-Rastels Top Ten:The top ten selected are in no particular order and does not signify that anyone is better than another because art is often subjective and all art has worth.
Tainted Existence by ~Garacci1ink

Art can mean many different things to different people and this piece is no different. In this piece it reminds me that we are not exempt from the notion of causality and that everything and everyone we interact with has some reaction or consequence which creates ripples far beyond we can comprehend. This is a beautiful surrealistic drawing that is also very emotive.

Tifa by ~skabe13

This is a wonderfully executed portrait showing off the artists excellent rendering skills, sense of value, and anatomical facial proportions. The softness and subtle value shift almost seems to makes this piece glow and the expression conveys a sense of loneliness and longing.

Icebound Glimmer by =FasterThanChris
This is just plain and simply a beautiful nature shot that really makes you feel like your there kind of feeling. One can really get a sense of being away from civilization, to feel the cold bit of the air and to here the sounds of nature.

Last Chapter by ~Anshera
As many of my watchers know I have a bit of the dark side but the light of my soul comes from imagination and the telling of the story which is what brought me to this piece. Not only is it very well done composition but also one that tells a story but a story in which anyone can redefine depending on who views it.

Those who Dance by =skerwish

This piece gives the feeling of a day dream and conveys that sprit song that always lifts our hearts and makes us want to dance, sing, create or just plain want to give people hugs. The artist also was able to pull off the piece very well with nice controlled edging and color/contrast balance between the elements used.

Soft by ~moonbuggs

Beautiful is the first word that comes to mind but then I also thing of the words playful, interested, curious and loving. The soft and sharp details mix well with the soft light and exposer that plays across the piece.

Jungle Jewel by *Lionsong

This wonderful mix media of water color and color pencil always shows when an artist has crossed one of the many different borders in which we cross in order to understand what it means to be an artist not just on the technical side but also the journey and process of the piece. Wonderful color, contrast and detail.

sorry, it's not a comet by =Inzekkt

This awesome dark piece almost has a surreal feel to it and makes great use of color, texture and a sense of motion. I could easily see this as a poster especially if it reacted to a black light.

Three Days by ~PurpleCupcakes

Not only is this a beautiful black and white portrait that uses both the elements of realism and abstraction in the hair it becomes even more impressive with the fact that this was a digital painting that was done only with a mouse. Somebody please get this person a tablet so that we can see her really soar.

Heterodyning III by *Heterodyning

Not only is this item a wonderful fabrication of craft skills but the way that it was presented adds a bit of a story to the shot of it and could very well be the plot hook of some kind of adventure.
King-Rastels Runner Ups: Just because these artists did not make the top ten picks it does not mean that they are no less deserving of a feature. These artists were in serious consideration for the top ten picks so they deserve loving as well.
To all remaining participants I would like it to be known that I payed equal attention to everyone who participated in this feature and I would appreciate anyone who would also pay a visit to their galleries as well.
