reports, April 15, 2002Last year when I started concentrating on learning the action scripts (AS) in Flash 5. I heard about a new version coming up. I was reluctant to see what it was but now I’ve seen it and it’s good. Now, we’ve all seen the power of FlashMX, what's next?
Macromedia didn’t stop there. They are gearing up for another turn.
To those who uses Dremweaver and Fireworks for web and graphics, the people in Macromedia will be doing a major upgrade from version 4 to version 6. Now these apps will be known as DreamweaverMX and FireworksMX respectively.
DreamweaverMX, as said, is Dreamweaver, UltraDev, and HomeSite rolled into one! Giving the name, it has the same look as the FlashMX. Before, UltraDev supported *.asp and *.jsp for you to be able to see how the actual database is going to be while still developing it. Now, they added PHP and Coldfusion support.
I maybe not programmer but I think this will be a great help.

By example, a thing you didnt made in Flash5 was embeding .avi videos into the flash movie. For that, you had resort to complicate javascript and the control ever depended of the html code.
Now this change!!!
Avi movies plays directly into the swf files, by the Sorenson Spark codecs.
