Welcome to the my sixth top ten picks feature. The turn out of contestants for this feature was good and overall steady. As with the feature before this one a there was plenty of good artists to choose from and I had some tough choices to make for the feature however only ten shall reach the title of top ten picks and receive a promotional critique but the runners up will still get featured. Everyone please give these people your love, comments or favorites.
In addition, this feature I asked everyone to voice their opinion about what movie they were most wanting to see and from what I saw was that most people wanted to either see Slum Dog Millionaire or Watchmen.
King-Rastels Top Ten:The top ten selected are in no particular order and does not signify that anyone is better than another because art is often subjective and all art has worth.
Transcendence by =Vectortrance

At first it is easy to by pass this wonderful surreal artwork until you see it in full view and notice all its wonderful details, colors and flow. Truly Nirvananistic feel.

No Ride Today by =Limaria

A beautifully shot of what it means to loose what we once had, of happy memories, childhood innocence and that sense of wonder. Some time we forget the simple things that made life grand.

TV MAN by ~yoshi747

I have always found it interesting how surrealism and pop art often go hand and hand. This wonderfully executed piece brings up to mind about how are culture is evolving in this age of video and also brings up the question, are we watching the media or is the media watching us?

Tempest by =miss-ninja

This Milton-estic piece is wonderfully dark and many of my watchers know about the dark side of my imagination. This piece was also expertly put together with nice edging and a consistent tones and values.

Smile Like You Mean It by ~HerEvilGothMajesty
Anyone who is anyone can be sure to recognize this superb portrait rendering of Jack Nicholson and has caught the very aura of what makes Jack, well, Jack.

Strike by =MrCanavan
As my a good deal of my watchers know I am trying to train as a concept artist/illustrator so when I come across this line of art work I always take notice. This painting not only gives a sense of a scene from a movie or video game but also has a wonderful loose system of strokes which creates a hazy atmosphere which adds to the notion of the fog of war.

Old Wise One by ~MystiqueDeep

Sometimes simple artwork is the most beautiful, especially when you discover how a piece was done. Scratch board artwork has been around for a long time but it is a classic and there has always been an appreciation for it for all who gaze upon the results. The artist has also done and excellent job of portraying a sense thoughtfulness in the face which works really well with the title.

Dreamcatcher by ~Superego-Necropolis

I am personally a big fan of Giger and this piece reminds me of his work however it is separated enough from his work to be the artists own work so it which was a mixing of styles. The saying that imitation is the highest form of flattery is true only when it is not copying and I feel that this artist achieved that flattery.

I always tip my hat to artists who understand composition and create excellent ones like this, however I must also tip it again for the patience and effort put into this pencil rendering which must have taken quite awhile.

Boulder To Birmingham by ~venicequeenf

What can I say but I have always been a sucker for sunset shots especially across waterscapes. The excellent contrast and color saturation of this piece is very alluring and one could just imagine sitting along this shore with that significant other side by side perhaps drink a hot drink and taking in this sight of nature and civilization.
King-Rastels Runner Ups: Just because these artists did not make the top ten picks it does not mean that they are no less deserving of a feature. These artists were in serious consideration for the top ten picks so they deserve loving as well.
To all remaining participants I would like it to be known that I payed equal attention to everyone who participated in this feature and I would appreciate anyone who would also pay a visit to their galleries as well.
