Hi everyone !!! Being very thankful to all of my friends-watchers for adding me to their friends lists, I want to introduce my watchers-friends and their amazing talents to all world !!!
In celebration of Saint Patrick's Day coming up next month, I thought I would feature some green! First, here's a little bit of a history on this unofficial holiday! (Unless you're in Ireland, then it is an official holiday!)
Saint Patrick's Day celebrates the Saint Patrick's religious feast day and the anniversary of his death, and is generally celebrated on March 17. Saint Patrick was a patron saint of Ireland in the 5th century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for thousands of years.
Many people, regardless of ethnic background, celebrate the holiday by wearing green clothes and accessories. Traditionally, those who are caught not wearing green are pinched. (I have to say, I didn't know that was a traditional thing, but rather my dad wanted another reason to pick on his kids. Heheh!)
TRADITIONAL;
DIGITAL;
PHOTOGRAPHY;
STAMPS;
And here is my little tribute to this holiday!
That's all until next month! Hope you have enjoyed these pieces of artwork!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
