Usually, when the subject of LOVE is broached, many people first think of romantic Love. Of course, Love in general surely encompasses romantic Love, but it is certainly far from all there is to Love! There is, however, a rather large emphasis placed on romantic Love, which I do not judge, but to say is sometimes hurtful in a way, due to the exclusionary factor that oftentimes some people feel. People feel badly to varying extents over an unhealthy romantic relationship, one that’s recently ended or the lack of one at all.

This is my only problem with Valentine’s Day. If the emphasis was placed more widespread on healing-Love, Love for humanity, Peace and Love for the world, then ALL Love would be included, and therefore all people would be included, and all people would hopefully feel comfortable with participating in Love that helps the world in so many ways. [Yet, this is not to say we shouldn’t celebrate wonderful romantic relationships, too- because we should! Such Love is simply one kind or part of all Love.]

I simply wanted to start off the New Year of 2009, on the most positive note possible. As I do thematic features anyway, I thought what could be more positive than Love? I’m about Love anyway, espousing the above, in various ways and places, often enough, so it didn’t seem too new, rather a nice way to start the New Year.

The Love Feature in my Journal became Part I, because I had a lot of positive feedback, and a ton more of the concept faved anyway... by Part IV, the idea of doing my first New Article was born- perhaps an even fuller way to spread this kind of Love? It seemed to have a growing interest.

I had said Part V, would be the last, but I caved [in a good way!] because I had just enough for an ENCORE Love Feature. It was getting out of hand...
or maybe I was, but if it to be about anything, Why Not Love?

This feature, showcases a wide range of artistic media, as well as a variety of types of images, in most cases. They are visuals, where I, as the viewer, sensed Love somehow in some way- in case not every piece would seem obvious, and maybe not all would to everyone.

In this day and age the world still contains so much pain, despair, and warfare, both lands afar and even very close to home. It seems more precious than ever to live a life of love, peace, and compassion, and to band together on behalf of ourselves, friends, family, and our fellow-humans abroad no matter what side of the Ocean or ANY-thing we find ourselves on.
