The 8th Birthday Contest

To celebrate my 8th dArthday (fnaar - new word) which is on the 28th March, I'm putting up a little photography contest themed around... yeah you guessed it, the number 8.

The contest officially opens today 28th February 2009 at 9:00pm GMT and closes on the 28th March 2009 at 9:00pm GMT. So you have exactly one month to get your entries in!

The Rulage and Destructions

All entries must make reference to the number '8'... this could be either a figurative or suggested reference... for example, a picture of a number 8 on a door... or 8 items as part of a still life arrangement... or even a spider with 8 legs... you see what I mean. It may seem strict, but when you think about it, it's not that hard

Photography ONLY - no Photo-manipulation. Digital darkroom techniques allowed but limited to the application of texture or a 'reasonable' amount of Photoshopping... colour balance, saturation, vignette, contrast etc...

You must notify me of entries via a note and make reference to the contest in the subject line

All entries must be forwarded to me by 28th March 2009 at 9.00 pm

You can enter as many times as you like

Winners will be announced within one week following the end of the contest

The Prizeage

1st Prize - A 1 Year Subscription to deviantArt plus a feature in my journal for one month.

2nd Prize - A 3 Month Subscription to deviantArt plus a feature in my journal for one month.

3rd Prize - A 1 Month Subscription to deviantArt plus a feature in my journal for one month.

I'm currently looking for judges (3 in total), so please, if you're inerested, let me know. Judges will not be able to enter the contest.
