Vexelove's Extra Feature
Who is "p00pstr34ks"? Could you tell us something about you?"Well, I'm a fun-loving, boring girl from Oregon. In fact, I'm so fun loving that I'm usually getting into some kind of trouble :3 I enjoy doing a plethora of things, mostly involving crafty stuff. I discovered vexeling about 2 years ago and have been doing it off and on ever since."
Why and when did you start appreciating art?"I started appreciating art at a very young age. I'd say around the time that I was able to hold a pencil. I didn't start dabbling around with digital art though until I discovered vexels.net (Now closed) I saw all of the amazing work on that website and I was hooked. Installed photoshop that same night and went to town."
Do you look up to any artist in particular?"There are many many artists that I look up to. My favourite, of course, is Cristiano Siqueira. He can be found here:
`CrisVector I admire him moreso than any other artist I've ever known."
How would you describe your art?"I'm very meticulous about color in my artwork. I spend quite a lot of time getting the right hues, and making sure that they blend well together. I'm also failing at answering this question.
Basically my vexels feature the same thing that a lot of other vexels do. A majority of them are portraits of women, and are usually pleasing to the eye. I know it's cliche, but I never take myself seriously, or vexeling for that matter. It's more of a hobby. I wouldn't even consider myself an artist, really

"
What do you think differs your art from others?"The colours, I'd say. Like I said, I spend a hell of a lot of time working with them to get them right. Therefor there's always a nice combination of them. Iunno maybe they're not different at all

"
What are you currently working on? What can we expect from you in future?"Honestly? Nothing. I just got my laptop back, and haven't been able to do anything new in a month. I also think I'm going to be taking a long vexeling hiatus, and start to focus on the traditional side of things. I'm going to be practicing human anatomy so I can break away from the chains of vexeling."
What are your 3 favourite deviations from your own gallery and why?"Oh my lord. This is an evil question ^^"

"When I finished this vexel, I knew then that it would always be my favourite. Everything about it is absolutely perfect. It's the only vexel I've ever felt that way about. It's my vexel-soulmate."

"Another flower. This vexel is incredibly personal. So much emotion was poured into this vexel while I was making it."
"Another very personal vexel. It really is a visual interpretation of the hopelessness I was feeling at the time. Things turned out to be just the opposite, therefor something painful turned into something wonderful. It's very hard to explain, but I love it now."
"I'd just like to add, thanks for the interview. I never really get a whole lot of attention (mostly due to my inactivity) So it's really fantastic when something like this comes along. Thanks so much!
