The "Show Them You Love Them contest" is to benefit and raise awareness for the abused and unwanted animals you find in shelters worldwide. We are trying to help show the DA community the love that we pet owners have for our animals, and the pain and desolation of those lonely few who roam the streets without love and affection. This contest is open to everyone, whether you have an animal or not, and has two divisions: Amateur and Professional. Though it is photography (petography to be more specific) only! The Grand Prize is a 3 year subscription, monetary donations to humane societies within North America, a free print, 3 news articles and nearly 40 journal features!

This contest has received a fantastic amount of acclaim and has been sponsored by multiple clubs within the DA community! Please love this article if you support this contest and help spread the word by advertising in your journal! Even if you only get 3 or 4 page views per day, it can still make a difference in this contest!

The ~staring-at-you-club is having a contest for our club I.D. The contest end on January 5 2010. We have a small number of entries, so the competition is not all that tough.
Here are the rules and guide lines:
1.The pic must pertain to eye(given since that is what the club is about)
2.It must have the title our our club in the picture
3.All submissions must have a link to our club
4.We have rights to all submission

Win a 3-month Sub!!!!

Hello fellow deviants! :wave:

I am looking to get a tattoo designed for my cousin. His pitbull recently passed away and he is having a difficult time getting over her passing. Her name was Clover and he wants to get a tattoo to commemorate her.

The thing is, he doesn't personally know any artist, so I thought to myself, "Hm... Maybe the DevArt community will be able to help out with this situation."

Since her name was Clover, he wants the tattoo design to be a an actual clover (you know, the little green plant) but he wants the clover to have the features of his dog. So, essentially, he wants a clover that has the features of his dog (like the eyes and snout, etc).

So, If you're up to it, please submit as many designs as you like. This contest will run on for one month (so it ends at noon Chicago time on April 3rd---this date is subject to change).

The winner will be chosen by myself and my cousin and will receive a 3-month subscription to DevArt (which I will pay for). I'm sorry that it is not a longer subscription but I just simply do not have the moo-lah to pay for more.

Digital and traditional illustrations are accepted.

And please remember that this tattoo is going on a guy, so don't make it too girly or 'bubbly' please :giggle:
