An interview with...=Fairiegoodmother

1:_{First off - what inspired you to start a stock account?}
Well, I wasn't very good at photomanipulations and I was always looking for Good Quality stocks. They are sometimes hard to find. I know what I like so I thought I would just start taking photos of the thing I would use.

2:_{How did you choose your username?}
That came about on Myspace. I signed up for Myspace to keep tracks of my kids. I wanted to be a good mother and watch what they were up to. I am also crazy about Fairies. So I just kind of added them together.


3:_{What is it about the stock community that keeps you active?}
I absolutely love Photography. I cannot look at anything without wondering if it would be a good stock photo and I cant wait to get home and upload them and share them with everyone.

4:_{How would you like your stock to be used more?}
A little more Dark. I know in my rules not to use in anything inappropriate but that is only for my model stocks. They are my kids and I hate to see them slaughtered or covered in blood. Any of my other stock they can pretty much make it as dark as they want. I also Really love Surreal and Fantasy.
5:_{Do you have any tips for people starting a stock account?}
I would just take pictures of thing they themselves would use in there Art.

6:_{Why chose to stock at DA and not morguefile/sxc/photlia/etc...}
My daughter is the one that actually pointed me in this direction. I started looking around and just fell in Love with DA. Everyone has been do kind to me. I keep meeting the most interesting people from all over the world. If I needed help someone was always there. It is just like an extended Family.

7:_{How far would you go to take a stock picture?}
I would have to say pretty far. In my last upload. I snuck into an restricted government property. I was quite scary but at the same Time I knew it would be so worth the shot that I took and it was. I have also gotten my hubby trained now. I always have my camera with me and if we are driving and I yell stop he will immediately pull to the side and even go out of his way to let me get my shot.

8:_{Are there any things that you wish people would stop doing with your stock?}
Not Really, I really like what most people do. I mean there is always beginners and you look at there work and it reminds you of your first manipulation and it puts a Smile on your face, because I know they will only get better the more they play at there work. I don't like it if they just change the color or something very simple like that though, but it is not a biggie. I just wish they had done more with it.

10:_{Is there anyone at dA whose stock you particularly admire, or have any other stock artists influenced your own work?}
Overall I love all DA Stockers. I love when I find a stock account that I was unaware of. They are all Fantastic. There are just way to many to name whom I admire the most, I would say that
Her stocks just get my imagination going sometimes. I love looking at her stocks. inspired me with her backgrounds to start offering my own premade backgrounds. I strive to make them as good as hers
and Well, He just makes me want to do my very best.

11:_{When you started a stock account did you think you'd get such a good reception?}
Not Really, I just knew I wanted to offer quality stock in case someone happened to need one of them.

12:_{What would you like to take more stock photos of?}
People, I have begged my daughter and her friends to model for me. They are always to busy for me, as this is there last year in High School. I even have some costumes and drop cloths, lighting and the whole works just waiting for them to say ok. She will only model for me during the summer vacation. I really need to work with my son but I really dont know how. I have no male costumes. I would love to dress him up as a pirate though and he really wants to model for me.

13:_{If you had your very own fairy god mother what would be your three wishes?}

"draws a blank" I really dont wish for anything. I have to say I am one very Happy woman who has it all. I Have a husband whom I have been love with for the last 26 years and still going strong. I Have two Wonderful Healthy and Happy kids that I love and I am in love with them. I pretty much have my Health.
What more could a woman ask for. So as for my Three Wishes. I have so Blessed in my Life that I would want to share my three wishes with people who really need them more.
