- Your entry must be A3 format (Width: 3508 pixels/ 297 mm and Height: 4961 pixels/ 420 mm )
- With 300 dpi (also known as ''Resolution'' you'll see that option under width and height in Adobe Photoshop). Very important for the quality of the print!

- Entry must be your own work, no collabs
- 1 entry per person
- Open for every category
- All entries must been submitted on deviantART
- No porn/racism of any kind
- Entries must be submitted after this news article (so 03-08-09 )
- Give a link to this news article with your submission! (helps for promotion, spread the love!)

What's the contest about?

A lot of people know Travis / ^PurpelBlur /
And if you don't.... well, add him to your watchlist. He's really a nice person to talk to!

Any way, back to the point:
^PurpelBlur is one of those persons who is the soul of the community, always present, promoting art and helping people and causes.
Never is he lazy . Is there a contest? He'll often donate something and/or pimp it up in his journal. Is the GM inactive (personal reasons) and due to that there are no DD's? No worries: ^PurpelBlur is here! (for every gallery!)
Do you have a request to the community such as the news article: Request of a Cancer Victim ? ^PurpelBlur would be honoured to help you out!



And we could make pages and pages and eventually a whole book for what ^PurpelBlur does for community. DeviantART wouldn't be this great without him.

He's just 1 member, like you and me, but is there for every gallery. 1 person, so much work.


To show our appreciation and respect for everything he does, we're holding a small yet fun contest!


So, what's the idea?

You have to make an art work and submit it as a print on dA, A3 format with 300 dpi could be any style: vector, photography, text art, traditional art etc. Doesn't matter, as long as it is A3, 300 dpi and something to do with ^PurpelBlur or the colour purpel.
`cybergranny will buy the winning entry as a print (so you'll get money as well) and send it to ^PurpelBlur .

How do I note with my entry?
- Go to her profile by clicking on her icon/avatar/the pink emote with the tongue in this question. When you did that you can see on the right side next to her pageviews: ''send a note''. Click on that. Subject: contest entry and give a thumb or a link to your entry.

How do I submit a print?

Every print on Deviant Art must be associated with a deviation. Your Associated Deviation will have a link to a page where users can buy this print.

You can associate prints with existing deviations by clicking the "Make Print" link on deviation pages, or by clicking "Submit Print" in the deviantART logo drop-down menu, which can be found in the upper left beside your username. Once on that page, select the deviation which you would like to upload or update a print for and click "Continue."

Can I submit a poem/emote etc.?
- Yes, but it has to be on A3... An emote is very small, so you have to make it huge!
As for poetry: please submit your poem with a nice background with an A3 format in Categories Literature > Poetry > Visual Poetry

- Your entry must follow the rules.
