1:_{First off - what inspired you to start a stock account?}

My sister ~helly7307-stock and =ashy-stock They joined DA during a college arts class. I popped in and seen what they were up to and thought hey thats neat! Lets give it a go. Ive always loved sewing, and costumes are fun to make, so lets combine the two and WHAM here we have it

2:_{How did you choose your username?}

Its the same username Ive had for years. Yahoo, neopets pretty much everything was shelldevil. For the life of me, I cannot remember how I come about it, its been years since I started using it, but the shell part is obviously from my own name

3:_{What is it about the stock community that keeps you active?}

Porn and terror

The people. I have made so many truely awesome and amazing friends within the stock community. Even if I stopped stocking Id still be very much involved. It feels like an extension of home

4:_{How would you like your stock to be used more?}

Id love to see more sureal works. I love things that make you ponder

5:_{Do you have any tips for people starting a stock account?}

Indeedy. Your first port of call should be the FAQ. Get to know about the stock gallery before going crazy uploading. Pop by chat and check out all the wonderful stock related tutorials there are. They will really help get you off to a good start.

6:_{Why chose to stock at DA and not morguefile/sxc/photlia/etc...}

Never herd of morguefiles As for the others, well they dont seem as community focused. Sure we all want to provide our stock, but you may as well have a blast at the same time and DA is perfect for both. If your going to do something you love, surround yourself with same minded people.

7:_{How far would you go to take a stock picture?}

There needs to be a limit?
Gosh um, I dont think anything would really stop me. Ive been kicked off property, fallen down slime covered boat ramps, hiked miles into nowhere for a waterfall, chased by swarms of wasps and stuck in places with no mobile coverage! If I really want that pic, by damn Im gonna get it

8:_{Are there any things that you wish people would stop doing with your stock?}

Nah not really. I mean I know people are all OHH dont use filters, dont just cut and paste, But everyone has to start somewhere so hey go with the flow I say

Now your just making it harder for me!


10:_{Is there anyone at dA whose stock you particularly admire, or have any other stock artists influenced your own work?}

=joannastar-stock Has awesome faries and droolworthy backdrops
*bean-stock and ~Anemya-Stock Have landscapes I could stare at all day
=Cat-in-the-Stock because I wish to visit the places he photographs, they are beautiful!
Theres so so so many more, but youd need a whole nother article to list them

11:_{You have an account for each of your daughters stock photos - do you think they'll enjoy looking back at the art when they're older?}

They already do
They love seeing themselves in art, I always show them whats been made, which promptly leads to "MUMMY LOOK MICKY IS WITH THE BUTTERFLIES! *inserts loud kiddie squees here*" Or some such, so I think when they get older they will really enjoy having all these images to look at. Sorta like looking at your baby photos, but with extra sparkle!

12:_{What is the biggest obstacle you have had to over come as a stock artist on dA?}

Honestly for me, size related issues. And im not talking image size I cop a hell of alot of flack because Im not the medias standard perseption of beauty. I have my rolls and my curvy bits and alot of people just dont like it. Especially when I started nudes. Its hard to break into the stock scene when you already have that against you, people want to draw their perfect figure, and more often then not, thats just not me. But then on the other hand, for every handful of negitive crap, theres a touching email or a note or a comment saying how Ive given other women courage and made them rethink how they feel about themselves and that makes me darn proud. Im glad to know that women out there feel better and it gives me warm fuzzies knowing I helped that
