NEWS FEATURE: Post Your Hometown
With 10 Million users, and over 75 million submissions Deviant Art can only be befittingly described as a global creative utopia visually born through the stomach of the digital revolution. Deviant Arts tentacles have reached far and wide, sprawled across the developed world and drawing photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, painters and poets alike, but what of the humble user or subscriber? There identity drawn together and drowned out in McLuhans global village, where are they from or what do they identify as there hometown in a world which has been reduced to ones and zeros?
Users, subscribers and deviants alike submitted work from all over the world, apart from Africa, the global villages forgotten continent. Styles ranged far and wide, from grim black and white urban dystopias to vivid rural dwelling outlined in opulence.
