Welcome to this weeks volume of so we heard you liek emotes. This is the 23rd volume in a weekly series aimed towards promoting emote and emoticonists from the dA community. It features emotes posted within the past week from both well known and new emoticonists, as well as featuring some other great emote projects and contests.
Featured Emoticons:
1.

Its unusually for emoticons to have feet, but they are certainly used to their advantage in Snowboarder by *
Mattdrew The animation is smooth throughout and the shading is excellent. Its a brilliant emoticon from a brand new emoticonist, and I look forward to any more they make in the future
2.

Everyone has an off day once in a while, and Hurt by ^
Hanratty-Stock is a perfect emoticon to represent this. The eyes are used to their full potential and the way the emote squishes really gives a depressed feeling to it. The tear is also a brilliant addition, making this an all round excellent emote.
3.

Although its past valentines day, I always love to see a heart related emoticon. I really love the unique idea in La mort de lamour by ~
Zmann966. The animation is also smooth throughout and the shading is excellent, making this another great emoticon submitted this week.
4.

One great thing about emoticons is the ability to your lots of colour, and its great to see ~
Yoshiko-86 has made full advantage of this in Tard rainbow. The shading on all of the emoticons is very smooth and the arc is nicely made. The expressions are all very amusing, ad prove an emoticon doesnt have to be animated to be great.
5.

Its always great to see people trying out new special effects, and its no exception in Wizard enjoys the spell by ~
madb0y. The animation is smooth and the bouncing is nicely created. The sparkling effect around the blue emoticon is well pixelled, giving this emote that last featured spot in this weeks article
Other great emoticons posted recently

First Featured Projects
We appear to have had another surge of emoticon projects this week. To save on space, they have all been placed under one header this time around
Swimming pool project
The swimming pool project hosted by ~
YounisAMAX is a great little emoticon project. The idea is simple, create an emoticon to fit in with the swimming pool background. Only static entries are accepted, but its a great project to attempt, especially if you are new to emoticons
Red dot Project
Every other year in the UK there is a fundraising day known as Comic Relief Day or Red Nose Day to help raise funds for children in the UK and Africa. Ive never before seen a fund raising emoticon project, but its a great idea. You can help raise money by simply using the red base supplied and turning it into an emoticon. For every emoticon submitted, an extra 35p will be donated to the charity. So even if you have only 10 mins, please consider making an entry, and help out a great cause at the same time. Due to the type of project, the deadline is the 31st March, but that still gives 15 days to have a go
Rock the world project
Already a popular project, the rock the world project hosted by =
Sinister-Starfeesh is another excellent project launched this week. To enter all you have to do is use the base provided and add some characters to their own little rock. Again only static emoticons are accepted, but the project so far is looking great and I hope to see even more entries
