Everyday we photograph, running here, running there, photographing this, photographing that, but how often do we look out of our own window? Or any window for that fact? How often do we notice the view we wake up to each and every morning, or gaze at each night cast in dusk? To the humble photographic explorer, the modern age conquistadors, the homely is often forgotten, considered not worthy of ones time. Human psychology defines it thus, but because of this we have forgotten our identity, we have denied our identities punctum, that view we us, only us alone are privy to, and do not want to share.
Sitting at the breakfast table, slowly and lethargically drinking our coffee and munching our cornflakes our minds stray to the beyond, Outside The Window attempts to do the opposite. To draw ones mind inwards, instead of desperately trying to think outside the box, sometimes it good to analyse what's inside.
