#Cabal is a literature-oriented chat where dedicated writers hang out and offer serious, thoughtful critique. Okay, and mess around a bit, too, but mostly were all about the writing.

With NaPoWriMo looming, weve decided to host some activities to help you stay inspired through relentless grind of April's National Poetry Writing Month, or NaPoWriMo, during which participants post a poem a day all through the month. That's 31 poems!
Well be holding 20/20s -- a group exercise where the goal is to write 20 lines of poetry (or close enough) in 20 minutes, and then share the raw draft with the group for discussion and cheers at the end.
Too, therell be ongoing prompts from the
#Cabal regulars, as well as poetry-inspiring prompts posted in the topic once or twice a day.
BUT WAIT, THERES MORE!For those who sign up with us for April (just come to
#Cabal and tell us youre in, well add you to the special NaPo privclass), therell be weekly prize for the deviation the
#Cabal regulars vote as best poem of the week.
This will be a mug of your own or our design (ie, you can give us a text logo to add, or ask for one ours).
All you have to do then is add your deviation as a link to the weekly journal of our site, ~
The-Cabal, after April 1st and youre in the running for the prize!
Sound fun? Yes? Then head on over to
#Cabal and ask to be added to NaPo (or visit ~
The-Cabal page and leave a message on our journal to tell let us know you're IN!).

See you April 1 for lots of poemy goodness!

I'll tell you what 'twas all about,--
I had money and he had none,
And that's the way the noise begun."
