Long-exposure or various exposures tend to create a somewhat feeling of extraordinary. Sometimes, artists see in these techniques a way to produce a surreal or abstract feeling to their work. And that's easily accomplished when someone understands photography.



You can achieve it both on digital and analog. For example, Diana (along with some new digital cameras) users are very familiarized with various exposures. BULB has something to it also. There isn't a need for scenography or masks to produce surreal photos when you use something like these techniques. With them, the world is your playground.



You can use these techniques to create something different and evoke viewers admiration or simply to have some fun on distorting reality.
