PROGRESS COMPETITION 2009 V1
Time to start this competition off.
This competition is to look how much members have improved, we are not looking at the most amazing images, poems etc but the way you have progressed over your time here, we do see amazing images poems etc but that’s a bonus. This makes it easy for anyone to enter and not feel intimidated.

What are we looking for?
Show us how much you have improved over the time you have been here, do this by showing us an early piece of work and a newer piece, its as simple as that.

How?
Send me two thumbs in a note of the works you want to put forward, if you are not sure then send me two links to the pieces of work

When?
The competition opens on the 1st of April at 00:00 GMT, anything before that date will be discounted so please nothing until then.

What can I enter?
Anything from any medium, photography, vectors, poetry, traditional art, digital art, manipulations

Who can enter?
Anyone apart from the judges

What can I win?
Thanks to everyone that has donated we have a superb array of prizes to give out the winners and runners up, to date we have:

1st place: 12 month sub and features from all listed below.

2nd place: 9 month sub and features from all listed below.

3rd place: 6 month sub and features from all listed below.

The will also be 3 commendations that will each receive 3 month subs and features from the list below

2 special mentions that will also receive 3 month subs each and features from the list below

To encourage newer members we will have a special category, this will be for the most promising new member, they will receive a 6 month sub and features from the list below.

Timeline?
Start date 1st April, submission will be taken for one month so the end date will be 30th of April at 00:00GMT. We will them allow the judges two weeks to deliberate and hopefully come up with a definitive list. I know this is a long period but last year we had a large number of entries and we expect this years to be bigger so this does take time.

The Rules
Not many rules but you can only enter the once in one category, you cannot for example enter in poetry and photography, only photography or poetry not both.
You cannot send in several pieces and ask me to choose, it must be your choice not mine, any like this will be discounted.
All notes must be titled Progress Competition; any not done so will be discounted.
All entries must be done through the notes system and nothing else such as replies to journals etc, this is done because I use the notes system to store all the entries.
All entries must be hosted in your DeviantArt gallery, you may re-upload an older piece of work (you can put it in your scrapbook if you do not want it in your main gallery) if you wish but I reiterate but it must be on dA.
It does not matter how old the old piece or how new the new piece is but it must be your work.
