This is the third month in a new series of all the Artisan Crafts Daily Deviations from the previous month. In addition to each Daily Deviation will be the DD description that went with it, what sub-gallery it is located in, and the name of the suggester. I hope you enjoy this new series!

Mar 1 -- Codi face shot two by ~FoxyCreations (Plushies)

~FoxyCreations makes plushies, such as Codi face shot two, or more specifically, poseable taxidermy figures from actual pelts that have plush bodies, taxidermied faces, and hand-painted details. All her pelts are legally obtained from animals that died from natural causes or had been rejected by the fur trade because of lower fur grade and are considered as art, not toys for young children. She donates $10 from each sale to a local SPCA. Suggested by @DreamingMyth.


Mar 2 -- Wizards Chest by *artdragondream (Woodworking)

A carved wooden chest with four hand-carved wooden wands inside. The suggester said, "These are amazing, detailed works of craftsmanship, both the chest and the wands. The fact that everything is handmade is astounding and there are many more delightful wands to be found in the artist's gallery!" Suggested by =warstar.


Mar 3 -- Crowned Labradorite by ~SoulStoneDesigns (Jewelry)

A lot of fiery red flash in this labradorite and it is handsomely flanked by three faceted garnets. Set in sterling silver, this pendant's approximate overall length is 2 1/2" (6.3cm). Suggested by =simonsaz3.


Mar 4 -- Roasted Moose by ~AREA666 (Culinary Arts)

A hearty and rustic main dish of moose that is also elegant and beautifully plated. Suggested by ^PurpelBlur.


Mar 5 -- Rachel's Quilt by =unicornslave (Quilting)

Made on commission for a client's 65th birthday, the artist included many personal details in this quilt as well as many birds and animals. The suggester said that "this is simply breathtaking." Suggested by ~cyla.


Mar 6 -- 90,000 Hits by ~ThePrincessZelda (Costumes)

The suggester said of the workmanship on this costume of High Elf Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War that "it's made by a very talented cosplayer with an eye for detail, no matter how intricate." Suggested by *boribaby.


Mar 7 -- Tyrannogearus Rex by =CatharsisJB (Sculpture and Glass > Miscellaneous)

The suggester said, "The Tyrannosaurus Rex has been portrayed as nature's ruthless killer in a long ago age before man... but I just can't picture this little guy doing any more damage than maybe bowling us over with an overload of cuteness! Very well executed!" Suggested by =HopeInDespair.


Mar 8 -- Origami Dragon by ~BopBob (Folding & Papercraft)

The suggester said, "The extra touches really add to the piece and make it a little bit more than your usual origami dragon, but even without them it's an impressive bit of paper folding." Suggested by `dottiemaggie.


Mar 9 -- PERFECT HARMONY by ~mfirsanov (Woodworking)

Love, passion, movement, and emotion in a wood sculpture, yes wood, linden in fact. Sculpted by Yuri Firsanov whose gallery is represented and managed by his son. Suggested by `hellobaby.


Mar 10 -- A couple of holsters by ~tupali (Leatherwork)

Carved and tooled leather holsters that are edged with basket weave braiding. Best seen in fullview.


Mar 11 -- Macarons by ~bittykate (Culinary Arts)

Tempting, teasing, beguiling... the torment that is ganache! The suggester said, "The deviant has taken a classic cookie and presented it in a whole new light. Culinary arts is just as much about presentation as it is taste, and these Macaroons *look* absolutely delicious. Exquisite detail in both form and color in this glass vase.


Mar 13 -- Mahadevi Necklace by *kry1 (Jewelry)

A handmade necklace inspired by Bollywood and made of sterling silver, copper, jade, and Swarovski crystals. Suggested by ~jaded-afterglow.

Mar 15 -- Hunting Space Pirates by =Yukilefay (Costumes)

The suggester said of this costume of this legendary character that it is "A full body shot of one of the best cosplays I've ever seen, not just the similarity with the character, but also the whole armor, which is perfectly made with materials such as fiber glass, LEDs, and EVA. =Yukilefay is probably the best cosplayer I've ever seen because her effort in costume making and trying to always look the most similar possible with the character is something that is not so easy to find in the world of costume making and/or cosplaying." Mar 16 -- Heorot by *Thorleifr (Woodworking)

A beautifully fluid knotwork carving in beech wood that the artist said was inspired by the north portal of the Urnes stave church in Norway, about one meter tall.


Mar 17 -- Pumpkin - Green Man by ~snerk (Culinary Arts)

The detail on this pumpkin carving is just beyond amazing and the suggester thought so, too. Suggested by ~ereyes.


Mar 18 -- my dear boy by ~ligreego (Custom Dolls)

This custom doll is so sweet and tender. Made of paperclay and 20cm (7 7/8") high. Best seen in fullview.


Mar 19 -- Nautilus Honey Dipper by =Frost-indri (Sculpture & Glass > Tableware)

The suggester said, "Her ceramic works always seem to have a life of their own, even the smallest details breathes of purpose. With this particular piece I truly feel she's created an object that has function as well as high aesthetic qualities. There is no way to think of this as just a utilitarian item, it's so full of soul and innate beauty that you keep waiting for it to move on its own." Suggested by ~Hivemind-Inc.


Mar 20 -- Paper Wings II by ~Jake-Of-Spades (Folding & Papercraft)

Hard to believe, but these wings were made of only cardboard for the skeletal structure, paper for the feathers, and glue. Suggested by ~neoshayna888.


Mar 21 -- copper ancient greek vase by ~Caged2007 (Metal Work)

Similar to an ancient Greek kantharos, this one is in spun copper, hand-painted and lacquered.


Mar 22 -- Fai Cosplay - Finished by *Malindachan (Costumes)

The suggester said of this artist and her costume: "This seamstress knows how to bring a cosplay to life and Fai looks right at home in this snow setting. The proportions and details of this costume are very accurate to the anime portrayal of Fai D. Flourite of Tsubasa Chronicles, and it's easy to see that much time and love was put into its making. *malindachan is a passionate cosplay artist who puts her heart into her work and it shows throughout her entire gallery. She has made costumes for Tsubasa Chronicles, Yugioh, Kingdom Hearts, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Black Cat, and Naruto. The suggester said, "~rustytrombone has presented us with a mouthwatering dessert. The simplicity of the cake and the complexity of all the complimentary ingredients forms a sort of harmony. It makes you *almost* feel guilty for eating this delicious piece of artwork!" Suggested by *snocookie05.


Mar 25 -- Because we're all different by ~Kiliwatch (Metal Work)

The artist himself explained this work as, "This is the result of a project I've been working on since December. The main message is in the title. Everyone is unique. This may seem rather obvious, but not everybody acts like they're aware of this. Because of this I started making these little robots made out of the lost or thrown away stuff of others. Just to make clear that even though people sometimes seem to be nothing more than cogs and clockwork, they're all unique. Besides lost stuff from the streets, I also used some parts of thrown-away computers. Suggested by *AlexCuervo.

A brilliant and exquisite display of 108 Buddhas in cast glass.


Mar 27 -- Lamp by ~sm91 (Miscellaneous)

An Asian-inspired paper lamp with the sides decorated in ink with kanji for cat, dragon, phoenix, and fire.


Mar 28 -- Sleep Well Childe... by =MajorTommy (Knotting & Weavings)

Not your ordinary dreamcatcher because this one is different with a double ring and yet only a single web between them.


Mar 29 -- Fits Like a Glove, etc. by ~rainycanary (Costumes)

About 52 pairs of yellow rubber gloves were used in the making of this dress. The suggester said, "Gorgeous AND talented and looking very much like a little canary in her self-made dress of rubber gloves." Suggested by ~BrokenEver.


Mar 30 -- The Last Unicorn Tapestry by ~RD-7391 (Fiber Art)

An amazing and intricate needle-worked tapestry that the artist said was based on the French "Last Unicorn Tapestries."


Mar 31 -- Dawning Locket by ~EpicEssentials (Jewelry)

Inspiration for this locket came from a dream that the artist had and it must have been a very powerful dream. Inside the locket is hidden away a figure of herself, I presume, and also the surprise of a faceted aquamarine.
